I have no Data; WiFi works fine; switched SIM into old Brax2, and Data works???
@BreakingFree Welcome to the forum! Who is your service provider? Sometimes provider-specific options (called APN settings) need to be set correctly for data to work.
Patriot Mobile; But the thing is it worked fine in Brax3 for 2 months before the problem with the Data accrued.
@BreakingFree I am not sure why that happened.
Have you seen the BraX3 Telco Compatibility ā United States list?
Patriot Mobile is listed as only partially compatible. Maybe that has something to do with it?
No I havenāt I will look at it.
Yes I have Patriot Mobile on T- Mobile; which should be in the green?
@BreakingFree oh that is a good point. I think you are right.
Can you compare the APN settings on your Brax2 vs your Brax3? Do they match?
As a mater of fact they do not; Brax2 Access point name is T-Mobile US LTE , and under the APN, fast.t-mobile.com; and Brax3 Access point name is Zip SIM and under the APN wholesale. In which i asked them about this suspicious APN name but the rep really did not know.
Try putting in the APN settings from the Brax2 into your Brax3 (You can first write down the current Brax3 APN settings on a piece of paper for posterity). Then reboot your phone and see if everything works.
Iām having the same issue with Patriot Mobile and extremely slow data (almost non existent).
The past two months, I have exceed my data plan (due to no WIFI) and data appeared to be throttled. Two month ago I called technical support and Patriot either reset network setting or had me change setting on my phone (I canāt recall what change). Somehow data speed issue was resolved.
This past month technical support has been unable to resolve data speed issue. Iām on the Patriot Mobile - AT&T network.
I was going to say the same thing. I had the same issue the last time I replaced a phone.
This phone didnāt have any APN info so I typed it in and now it connects the network.
Have you resolved āno Data issueā with Patriot on T-Mobile network?
Yes tried what you suggested but with no avail; And had too factory reset and still no connection to Data; but WIFI still works.
@BreakingFree In that case I suggest call your provider and request their help to resolve the issue. I have heard of many examples on this forum of people reporting that their service providers actually helped them to resolve this very issue. I think it is a matter of getting the right person on the other end that actually know what they are doing. So you might need to call back a few times. I am sorry that the method that worked for me and a few others is not working for everyone. It would have been awesome if it did.
No, ready to replace the phone.
That could be your problem, AT&T as far as I know will not support Brax3.
No, Michael here is a message i have recently sent to Mr. Plamen which gives more of the details concerning the issue; and the attempts made to remedy the situation:
https://community.braxtech.net/t/data-will-not-automatically-connect/3566/2?u=breakingfree
Well I have been in contact with Patriot Mobile and we have exhausted all reasonably possible number of combinations relating to user names, passwords, and addresses connected to APN, SIM, and IMEI. Further more, my other two Brax3 phones work fine; and I replaced the SIM from the Brax3 into my old Brax2 and the Data auto-connects fine. The issue is not that I get data when I am near WIFI; WIFI auto-connects and works great in both Brax2, and 3 wherever WIFI is available. So from my trouble shooting this problem, it seems to be clear that something has been engaged in the Brax3 settings that is hindering data to not auto-connect; or the hardware has become disconnected somehow, because the data use to work; I have even taken the SIM out of my wifeās Brax3 and put it my Brax3 and the data still has no auto-connect function. Unless you have some positive resources that we could glean from in fixing this situation; I think we might be ready for a replacement phone. I have gone through this before with Mr. Braxman and he was very prompt to send me a new Brax2; But this is no way a slander against the Brax company, or series of phones and, or other related products; it just happens with mass production; because sometimes mistakes are made. I really like all the Brax phone.
And I have another issue that I would like to bring up and that is am I able to replace a Brax3 screen myself, or would I need to send it in for repairs; because one of the three phones I have fell out of our truck and it was ran over; and the screen is cracked, and it still turns on. The Brax3 is an amazingly tough phone āmy Brax3 would have never taken a hit like thatā When I got home I took it out of the case and to my amazement the phone was fully intact, save the front screen. I rebuilt my Brax2 from spare parts from another Brax2; but I would need a step-by-step guide and a new screen; but if that is not possible than I need the procedure in which to send this phone in as well.
Plus, I have also taken another suggestion and used an older updater to install the newest update ; but again to no avail.
I have the same issue with Patriot. I am on an AT+T plan and the phone worked fine with this plan from day one until today. This morning I switched it back on, I got a number of messages and emails and suddenly stopped working. I can not longer connect to AT+T to get data. According to the list on this site, Patriot only supports Brax3 through TMobile. As I said, I have been able to connect via AT+T until today. Any more ideas?
I am suspicious that this is an issue with the most recent iodeOS update. My two Brax3 phones are also having this same issue except the mobile provider is Consumer Cellular. The phones have worked great, including mobile data, since Brax3 launched.
I updated one phone to 7.1 by downloading the new updater apk and the latest 7.1 update. I had to manually load the update in the updater. After testing the phone for a few days it seemed fine but I forgot to test mobile data. Yesterday, I updated the other Brax3 using the same method. Today I discovered that mobile data has no internet on both phones.
The fact that this is happening to multiple Brax3 phones with different MVNOs suggests that it is either a problem with AT&T or iodeOS. And since the mobile data worked fine until the 7.1 update it seems likely that it is an issue with iodeOS.
I found a previous post that contains a solution: ācopy the APN settings, delete the APN, then recreate it with the same settingsā. No Mobile Data since update - #16 by RedEarthProphet
It worked for me and helped multiple users from that thread.
RedEarthProphet stated that it happened to him after updating to iode 7.0. I went from 6.9 to 7.1 and it remains an issue.
Hopefully this solution works for other people in this thread.
