Hi everyone.
I FINALLY got around to seting up my Brax3 that I’ve had for months. I’m coming from an S22, and am trying to sandbox a couple of apps (FB Messenger - I use FB marketplace and need to chat with buyers, and Whatsapp - I have friends in Jamaica that I need to communicate with, especially recently).
Other than working on that, I have been pretty happy with the Brax3 and Iode’ in general. My real question, so far, I guess - having come from an S22 I find the video footage on the Brax3 to be jerky and unstable. I have image stabilization enabled (it was on by default).
I am using the default camera app on the phone. Has anyone else noticed this and has anyone used a different camera app with better results? I understand the Brax3 is more of a midrange phone compared to the S series and the issues with image stability might be hardware based and not app based. I used my S22 on many travels and enjoy the stability of the videos it takes.
Appreciate any ideas or thoughts people have - thanks!
Rick

I use my camera as a camera and my smartphone as a phone. Only when there is an emergency ( criminal attacks- urban cities in USA) or urgent requirement ( circuit details, fine print on contracts or prices) will I use a smartphone camera. Handy as an EDC tool ( Every Day Carry) only in a small phone.

Thanks for the info. When I travel, I always bring a decent camera and camcorder, but on many occasions in regular everyday life I am somewhere where the only item I have is my smartphone. I think the S22 might have spoiled me for stable video performance. I might try some other camera apps on the Brax3 and see if there is any better outcomes.
I guess another thought is using my S22, on wifi only through my Brax3’s hotspot, and maybe keeping my whatsapp and FB messenger sandboxed on the S22. Using the stable camera operation of the S22, but means carrying 2 phones. But not often.
I am still working through the whatsapp and FB concerns (simply not wanting them on my Brax3) and maybe sandboxing the S22 might be a 2 birds, one stone solution
