Can you import your contacts from another phone into the Brax phone?
Hi.
Yes. You can import contacts.
Go to contacts > settings > Import
Then import the contacts you saved from your old phone. (.vcf file)
To save your old contacts..
On your old phone go to Contacts > Export.
That should give you the option to save a .vcf file
Thanks so much for your help. Your instructions were spot on.
Glad I could help. Let me know if you need anything else.
Awesome and thank you. I downloaded Google Wallet and it doesn’t work. It seems to be blocked by Brax I think?
Sorry, I don’t use Google Wallet, but from what I read, it does not work properly with Micro-G. I believe it needs Google components that Micro-G does not offer.
Is there a Micro-G equivalent of Google Wallet?
Did you search for wallets on F-Droid to see if their is something that meets your needs?
Again your help has been amazing. Thank you.
If you just need an app to store tickets, discount cards - you can try fWallet. It’s available in f-droid. It’s open-source and private.
If you’re looking for contactless payments, I see that Curve Pay is the most recommended one from “deGooglers”.
For anyone wanting to transfer contacts, call-logs, text messages, photos, OR videos etc., from one phone to another, I have found (the hard way) that Wondershare Mobiletrans is the best such software in its category. Don’t waste your time or money with Jihosoft or Coolmuster.
Of course, if you just want to transfer your contacts, yeah just export them from your old phone and import them into your new phone in .vcf format. That is free and easy.
Hi
Im having a problem finding the ’ contacts > settings > Import ’ to copy my contacts to!
The only way I can find any reference to ‘contacts’ is through settings and that doesnt help.
I’ve clearly missed the obvious. Can you point me in the right direction?
Head into the contacts app, tap the ‘hamburger’ top left, and scroll to import ![]()
