Investor app found on Aurora called computershare successfully installed but says access is denied for rooted or jail broken devices. Is there a work around for this issue?
I’m assuming you haven’t rooted your device.
Some apps could throw that error if they’re seeking some google play verification they aren’t finding, which is a false positive.
I suggest that you play around with your microG settings. See if any changes to the settings could “fool” the app to accept that the phone has the needed google play services.
What can be changed there in the settings?
I have the same issue with BoursoBank - you can start the app fine, but during login process, they do additional verifications and bail out telling me my phone is using a jailbreaked/root OS.
More specifically - Google SafetyNet and Play Store Services.
Check if modifying those could resolve the issue.
microG setting Certification test fails.
The captchas all pass.
Anything I can actually configure influence this? From experience anyone?
You are correct, I have not rooted or done anything to my phone. I start the app and that error comes up before I even get a chance to enter log in Credentials. Are there any specific setting changes in the MicroG I could try? I don’t want to mess anything up? Thanks in advance.
We’ve logged this as a bug and are now investigating it. I will post an update when we’ve progressed on it.
Hello, any update on this issue. I am still not able to use the Investor app computershare. Thanks in advance.
Hi. I’ve created this issue on iode’s issue tracking board: Some banking apps identify iodeOS as custom ROM (altered OS) (#44) · Issues · ota / issue-tracker · GitLab
The iode devs will be posting an update on this directly in the issue on their board.
