Iode Browser, some settings not saving

Hi team;

Using the Iode browser, and I want to disable the “Jump back in” and “Recently added” buttons under the “Homepage” settings page. However, every time I disable, they are re-enabled when I revisit the settings page. “Quit Iode Browser” and restarting doesn’t help either. It’s almost like there should be a “save” button but there isn’t. Maybe I am missing something. Other than this, I do like the browser. I might switch to Brave or something but I’d still like to find a solution to this. I sent a message to the Iode team as well but hoping someone here has run into this issue before.

Thanks

I just tried to update my settings and the toggles for both Jump Back In and Recently Added remains as off, as intended.

Can you try clearing the app cache? If not, maybe clearing app storage can help (note that this will delete your app history).

Thanks for the reply Plamen - I just tried. Cleared the cache, cleared storage. I restart Iode Browser, go to settings, shut off Jump Back In and Recently Added, go back to the previous settings page, go right back into Homepage settings, and they are both enabled again. Weird. Will uninstall and reinstall again

Well, I uninstalled, and reinstalled. Same issue. I uninstalled again and went to reinstall and received an error. Installed Brave and we’re good to go.

It was worth a try, oh well. Other than that goofy issue, I was happy with it. Maybe I’ll try again in the near future

We will keep an eye out if this gets reported again, and try to find a pattern. Thanks for sharing!

I was going to try and record a video to show the behaviour, it was kind of humorous seeing the settings re-enable. I honestly don’t use the browser much on the phone so I cannot say whether it did this before or after an update or anything else to help find the issue. Thanks for assisting Plamen
