That is odd! I just downloaded fossify contacts instead, imported contacts there, set the original contacts app permissions to not allow then disabled it to be sure.

Seems concerning for sure. I just checked in the IODE app. Under āall timeā I cannot find any outgoing connections from the contacts app which is something. My guess is that the app only runs locally and does not leak anythingBut I have also switched to Fossify out of caution.
Thanks for pointing that out, this will be changed ! This has remained unchanged from LineageOS and I suppose, from AOSP. If you want to check the code to verify that thereās no leak, itās here: Files Ā· v6-staging Ā· os / public / lineage / packages_apps_Contacts Ā· GitLab.
