Hello. iodeOS version 7.1 (cited as 21 December 2025) fails to connect to WLAN/WIFI (Netgear AC1900 Cable Modem Router c7000v2). My Brax3 is thus without an internet connection on this version of iodeOS.
Separately, please make it possible to revert to previous version directly through the updater when previous OS versions package files are still in the device’s memory.
My attempts to install a previous OS version via local update in the iodeOS beta Updater failed due to an “Install error.” I downloaded the “…-ota.zip” files from here. How do I revert to previous version which could connect to WLAN?
I updated to 7.1. My phone works with my wifi router. Hope you get your problem fixed.
How did you update if via the updater app, mine failed to connect to internet now the phone is useless and not working at all after saying phone can’t be trusted and does not work properly
I can’t find any 7.1 update in the repository. Why do you experiment without any reason? If an official update comes up you’ll be notified.
Indeed my Brax3 running iodeOS v7.1 fails to connect to my WLAN router. However, it successfully connects to the hotspot of a different device. That is how I was able to try to revert to an older version OS, an attempt which ultimately failed.
You installed a beta OTA. Why did you do that?
It was not a beta OTA. The notification for the update was served to my phone via the generic Updater app. It is possible that the update has not been served to you, but evidently others have received it.
The update exists only in the beta repository here, ota / betas · GitLab
I solved the problem by:
- Connecting to a hotspot from a different device (e.g a non-Brax3 device).
- Replacing the standard Updater app with the Beta Updater app by downloading and installing the one here.
- Deleting the existing copy of v7.1 in the Beta Updater app.
- Refreshing the Beta Updater app so that it shows a new copy of the v7.1.
- Downloading and installing the new copy of v7.1 through the Beta Updater app.
Following the installation (with device reboot) of the new copy of v7.1 the WLAN connectivity was restored.
To be clear: my Brax3 running v7.1 installed using the Beta Updater successfully connects to my router and thus can access the internet again.
The so-called 7.1 beta was served to my generic, non-beta Updater app and once installed on my device, I could not connect to my WLAN router. However, I replaced the non-beta Updater app with the beta Updater app and re-installed the same v7.1 and now the device successfully connects to the WLAN router. So doing that solved the problem for me.
I suspect that you forgot to remove the beta updater when you went from 6 to 7. There was probably some error the first time you installed 7.1 and it was fixed when you reinstalled it.
On the contrary, I recall replacing the Beta Updater with the generic Updater when I upgraded from v6.9 to v7.0. Since then I have performed no fewer than 3 software updates which installed without any issues whatsoever. The router-connectivity problem I encountered with v7.1 was not caused by me. I suspect that the people at iode accidentally sent out what is the beta 7.1 version through the non-beta channel and I installed it before they corrected the error. Now that I re-installed v7.1 beta using the Beta Updater (instead of the generic Updater), the error I previously encountered was resolved.
The recommended way was to remove the beta updater through the updater itself. What do you mean that you replaced it?
What exactly is the fix/advantage to updating to the 7.1 Beta?
Yes, I followed the instructions for replacing the Beta Updater with the generic Updater.
I have not observed any advantage or benefit to the 7.1 Beta. I should have skipped the update to save myself all of this trouble.
We’ll see in the news , it is probably a LineageOS update with the monthly security patches and new phone models.
OK, I think I will hang tight as everything seems to be working fine for me… now.
I am unable to download the 7.1 update. I am getting error no internet connection even though I am connected to my Wi-Fi and browsing works fine. Any suggestion on how to fix it?
I am currently running iodeOS 6.7. Do I need to upgrade to 6.9 first?
