Hi.
Click on the io App (iode blocker) and open it.
Click on settings (Bottom right)
Sign in with your credentials
On Brax3 it is automatic but there was a problem in 7.1 (December 21st) which was fixed with 7.1(December 27th)
Correct. But if you want to use an already established account, like the family plan or a different premium plan you would need to sign in with those credentialsl.
Thanks for Yo help there Mmm8, but that answer creates the problem that my question relates to. Where do I find the related credentials to use for the first time log in, I’ve never logged into Iodé before now ? though I don’t think I did ![]()
during very first boot up, A ?
Ps. Please don’t tell that I don’t have to log in, because of IodéOS Premium is already installed. Or is it not possible to actually log into the said account ?
Not that it’ll help the prob much, but I’ve signed up to receive the free Iod’e newsletter, via the io news wiget / FAQ’s / About iodéOS Premium / How to subscribe to Premium / Subscribe here, which takes yee to the Iodé website, then scroll to page bottom.
There are no credentials, the phone uses some identification numbers to get the free premium.
George is correct. That service is included with no credentials. You would only need credentials if you disconnect and want to use a different plan/account.
Ok
thanks for that inlightenment, sorry if Yo thought I was asking for way far more than what we have already been generously gifted, appreciatingly, for being keen/eager, early investors into what was, under the circumstances, quite a very big challenge, for to produce and deliver the wonderful nice, one of a kind, Brax3/Linage/Iodé/UbT/… powered baby phablet.
No doubt that if/when the Brax3’s big brother with a detachable key boaord, gets announced, there’ll be, if not the same, an even bigger interest and que for it, me thinks, A ?
So, thanks to this thread, I find I have no premium subscription on my Brax3. I have the Dec 27th 7.1 update, which says it has a hotfix for premium access validation, but I have no subscription
so I am not sure what to do now - it should be automatic, correct? No login details to provide?
Yea Mmm8, the premium bits are automatically activated and do their thing, freely, without logging into the, as such, account, for the Brax3.
Have you done the down below, easy as, bit ? not that it’ll help much, except inform Yo awee bit, to alot more about the IodéOS Premium nuts and bolts, when them facts are read.
Tap the io news wiget / FAQ’s / About iodéOS Premium (within this part is good info)/ How to subscribe to Premium / Subscribe here, which takes yee to the Iodé website, then scroll to page bottom and signed up to receive the free Iod’e newsletter, if Yo fancy to.
Ps. I think all Brax3 ph’s get the free Premium Account offer, but don’t quote me on that !
I think what Ricketts is saying is that his iode shows “Login” under the premium account info, while romluk’s iode shows “Active subscription, Tap to disconnect”. (Mine also showed “Login”, before I flashed back to Lunar in an effort to set my IMEI.) Possibility: reflashes aren’t getting the intended login-less “Active subscription”.
Is it true that b4 installing Ubt Os onto the Brax3, there has to be Lunar Os first installed anyway ?
Yes. That is correct.
That’s correct, yes. I have a Brax 3 but no subscription

about the no subscription, sad to say.
So Iode no longer a viable or reliable option to have as OS would staying on Lunar or switching to UT be a better option, is f-droid and aurora available for Linux?
Sorry that I haven’t looked into that much, as yet.
Yikes. I haven’t seen any evidence to support that. All I’ve experienced is that if your serial number gets mangled - as happens with “Format + Download” in SP Flash Tool - iode can no longer recognize you have a BraX3, and thus doesn’t automatically enable the free Premium features. Looking over what Premium adds to the base installation - per this page - I myself don’t feel short-changed. In other words, it’s small potatoes, and I don’t sweat the small stuff. But YMMV, of course.
I spent a couple days on LunarOS, and can say that if you’re someone who doesn’t like putting in some work, it’s a fine alternative. Micro g is installed, but not a lot else - even an app store. So, expect to have to manually install the f-droid and aurora apks. And because I found the supplied browser mostly non-functional, I installed f-droid.apk via adb.
The meticulous notes I took on configuring iode mostly applied in lunar too, but some of the settings were in different places and/or different names. Again, small potatoes.
I didn’t get too far beyond that in lunar customization, because I’m viewing my time on Lunar or iode as limited (though it take many months) before I switch to UT, and iode feels more polished. But I could be content with either.
UT is why I bought a BraX3. I’m very much hoping it is soon that it’s possible to make a call and send text messages via a phone carrier, but those are not possible yet. Maybe I’m wrong, but I haven’t heard that support for android apps has massively improved in the 3 years since I last used UT, so don’t expect to use f-droid/aurora. UT has its own - quite limited - app store for software that runs well, but UT is linux, so you can install pretty much any software you can find and/or port and/or write. That said, you should expect that software from outside their app store won’t look good - or even be usable - on a small phone screen.
The Android apps can’t run natively on Ubuntu Touch because there is no Android Framework, you’ll use the Waydroid emulator so you’ll be running an Android inside Linux like on your desktop.
So…trying to get to the bottom of why I have no Iode’ Premium Lifetime subscription on my phone. This thread unfortunatly does not have any solutions specific to the problem. Lots of interesting info though but nothing helpful
I sent an email to the support group but all I got back was “This email support channel is reserved for order and payment issues.”
My phone is just a phone. No other weird apps, nothing that I change in the background. I regularly do the required updates, including the 7.1 hotfix from December 27th. My Iode’ shows as in my screenshot above - only a login button, no subscription.
Just curious if there is a solution to this for Brax 3 owners
Thanks
