iodéOS update problem 😕

Hi All Brax3 owners and want a be’s.

I’m feeling good about my Brax3 ph and know it’ll get way better with the present bugs being fixed via fantastic future updates/upgrades, except mine won’t update from OS 6.9 since a few weeks ago, sad to say.

I easily updated the ph’s iodé OS twice with no issues prior to the 6.9 OS update and successful install, but ever since then, when I go to check for the latest OS update, a pop up says ‘the update check failed. Check the internet connection and try again later’, all while the ph has what appears to be a fair to good WiFi signal strength, but no data is available. Being that is the problem, how come ? the network details are, transmit link speed 42 Mbps, and receive link speed 29 Mbps, but the up/down data load icon at top of scene, randomly/momentarily appears, and shows 2-4 kBs d/l, but 0 kBs u/l speed, why is this so ?

The Updater App is Version 15, and has no permissions denied.

Many thanks for any advice on what has gone wrong and for quite a pleasing fix.

Ok, thanks, that’s good then, but if and when there is an update up and ready, I fear I’m gunna still have the same mentioned problem, A ?

I did lots of differing thread reading and I found nothing to help me sort out the Update Checker failing issue, when ever for the last month when I checked the checker for the lastest and greatest. It turn out to be a simple/easy fix, as I always thought it will’ve been.

I did a couple of different system resets, and third time lucky after resetting app preferences, she’s now back working normally, proven with the 16 Nov iodéOS 6.9 update has just been successfully installed

Ps. Very very happy about that above easy fix worked, mainly because my Brax3 has now got Android 16 with iodé OS 7.0

I’m told there are updates for 12/25 and 12/27 but they don’t appear…

How did you install the latest update? I still have the original version on my phone. I can connect to wifi but the installer will not work. I’m not extremely tech savy. thanks.

Trying to update from 6.3 to 7.0 (but no WIFI, and no mobile data)

Check that your APN settings are correct so that you can have mobile data , they are in Settings > About Phone The Updater has to be updated before the main update, those files can be transferred to the phone with a USB cable and run them as local updates. iodéOS 7.3 official + 7.4 beta

The assessment would demand logging of the power consumption for about a week for each version on a rooted device to be able to read the /sys filesystem. Except if you know some app that can provide such low level information.
