IOMMU and powering off cellular modem and baseband

So the base principle of why grapheneOS was/is only based on Pixel is for IOMMU lanes.

Thanks to the engineering made on the motherboard of the pixels by google, it was one of the predominant reason why the pixel was choosen for the development of grapheneOS.

It goes the same for qubesOS with the thesis of Anna Rutkowska, where IOMMU lanes are essentials to be able to reset the cut power to the PCI-Lanes responsibles for the USB and other peripherals and resetting their state.

That’s how you know you are protected and that those hardware extensions are properly separated from the rest of the system and so can be turned off or reset at will.

So I wanted to know if the same level of details have been done to brax3 motherboard for the antennas for example. And so if iodeOS is relying on the same principle.

Consequences if they did : When you are on airplane mode, the GSM antennas are really powered off and so you are not sending pings to the towers anymore nor responding to pings or receiving it.

Consequences if they did not: Even on airplane mode you are traceable because your antennas are responding to Pings from the towers.

But not here which is totally related.

You know that your argument about import laws and let’s be specific CE compliancy for example is not valid. Besides what we know in the intelligence committees.

First because most of it is a scam and goes through representatives based at Cyprus and elsewhere. That has been revealed years ago by different investigative journalism, among them the most known in Europe from elise Lucet. VIDEO. But let’s put that aside, too.

Even if you had thorough control and did that according to the rules. You pretty well know that you would not have had to use iodeos to make it. It would have been without any OS because it is an electrical and hardware certification for traceability and liability. And if you did install something it would have been the lunarOS you did develop years ago with your teams at Lunr Phone Canada.

So again I am asking you nicely, does the phone have proper IOMMU lanes to be able to separate baseband and modem from the rest each?

After that a duly explained in the whitepapers of the thesis for grapheneOS, it is incumbent to the OS developer team to actually implement good security measures and treat drivers and hardware components as unsafe.

Plus it is totally feasible to include by default the code you gave on your other post, to the airplane mode snippet.

So it would be nice that you would stop giving the compliance issue when actually that part has nothing to do with the capabilities of the phone with the little requirement form the motherboard and the needed code to do so in the OS.

So can you please answer the question? because you are the only one detaining the blueprint of the motherboard here. Not anyone else.

Whether or not iodeteam does the work, as we can see in the recent brawl between grapheneOS team and murena and iode teams GrapheneOS accuses Murena & iodé of sabotage, pulls servers from France over police 'threats' - PiunikaWeb, that’s another matter which we will address on their own forum.
