Are we able to add our own custom block lists to iode as well to augment its ad blocking capabilities?

Yes, you can do that with with an iodé Premium subscription. I am pretty certain that brax3 purchasers are receiving “lifetime Premium subscriptions”.

Will iodéOS Premium features expire?
All IndieGoGo “rewards” include a BraX3 device with iodéOS Premium for life. You do not need to pay a subscription fee to enjoy the premium features of iodéOS.

that’s great news! How will we keep that subscription going forward? I ask because we are buying many Brax3 phones. Will each phone have its own licences key? How can we transfer this if a phone is damaged and replaced?

Premium subscribers login to the iodé app (the firewall blocker app). I assume (but don’t know, I am not part of that arrangement) that each purchaser will create an account at https://iode.tech where you can see your premium subscription information.
