I sent the questions below to [email protected] and they “politely” replied with, use the forum instead for answers to these type questions – See questions below. Hopefully, one of you has already gone down that road and got the answer you’re willing to share…
Is there a user manual available for the Brax3?
Is there a battery replacement available. If so do you have a model/manufacturer?
Is there a waterproof case available, if so, make/model?
Does the phone come with Iode premium installed. How can you verify?
Well, you replied to my post, now I’ll reply to yours.
No manual. It’s pretty easy to figure out.
Replacement batteries were promised. The actual battery specs may be known by the brax team and manufactures. I know someone asked about that but I don’t know if the exact answer came forth. So, we wait until the batteries are in stock and ready to sell to us…
No waterproof case will be made available as far as I know. Aftermarket, maybe.
Iode premium was installed at the factory level. The Iode App has all the premium features enabled. The only proof is IODE’s word. If you open the Iode app then go to settings at the top you’ll see IODE Premium account. Below that is the login. But we don’t log in because the features are already enabled.
Thanks for the reply. Disheartening on the answers especially on the waterproof case since the phone is not even water resistant. The Iode premium thing is a little confusing. I tried to change the settings and it asked for a username and password. I cancelled that until I got more information on the version of the OS the phone came with. Overall, the phone is a great alternative to the other Androids out there. I expect the OS will get getter in time as long as it is supported.
I have been using iode’ for years. When I first started using it in 2022 there was no premium version of iode’. Then they made their iode’ blocker even better and now have reinforced blocking which is only for premium users. We are able to enable that and I believe our BraX3 serial number enables this.
Take a screenshot of this and your IMEIs if u start messing around with SPFlash!!
I also thought I remembered the Brax3 is meant to be able to replace the battery. I can’t even figure out how to remove the battery, which is what I was considering doing to fix the boot up/shut down loop my daughter’s phone is in.
I do plan to, and am very appreciative of the advice. It is not my phone, but my daughter’s, and we need to sit down together to work on it, and that’s been a challenge.
But, it doesn’t change the fact that the tech support is not what it should be.
