Hello fellow users

Has anyone else noticed that the Brax3 is listening to conversations?
I am 100% certain that the Microphone is listening in the background to very specific conversations I’m having at work are being put up as YouTube suggestion on our TV at home!

(I had taken many precautions to not allow this to happen yet it is still doing the same things as a google phone !!!)

NOTE: I do not and have never used and have disabled from day one in a remote location:

-WIFI (never turned on)

-Bluetooth (never turned on)

-NFC (never turned on)

- Disabled all microphone permissions that the OS allows*** to be disabled

NOTE: the microphone drop down system switch is always switched off unless I am making or receiving a call! all applications the microphone is disabled unless in use! (see ***system application services below also)

  • there are no google apps on the phone 95% Fdroid apps and a few from aurora (very strict assessments done to make sure aurora and all apps do not have trackers or spyware)
  • the Youtube on the TV at home is not signed in and only used as a guest
  • the TV is run through a Brax router via ethernet cable not WIFI
  • The brax 3 has not ever been connected to the same network as the TV
  • Brax3 I only use cell data only not wifi, cell data is off 95% of the time unless I need to check internet or need network access for a particular application
  • I disable all Microphone access on any application that is installed before it has even been used
  • Phone has been VPN’d from day one in a remote location with a different company to the home system and paid by cash no links in any way
  • all new accounts for email and any apps on the phone zero carry over credentials other than the telco provider sim and phone no. (which Rob has said many times is perfectly fine to do) (no other cross device tracking and no 2fa tracking)

Basically the phone is used as a phone, yet it is still 100% listening to conversations whilst not even being used, the device is just present in the conversation room at work and microphone is off!!!

The other seriously important aspect of this is the Brax3 is somehow transmitting the private conversations from my workplace to My home TV / Youtube !!!??? HOW???

I have since installed “Pilfer shush” which I did not think would be required on a de-googled privacy phone with the microphone switched off but here we are….., implemented to try and see if this is the avenue the device is listening and transmitting thru (18-22khz audio (NUHF) and microphone access) although it has not detected any applications that use this technology and cant access the Microphone whilst it is switched off (makes me believe this issue is further back in the OS or Firmware)

Personally I believe this is coming from the Android OS or firmware as there are many many many services and system applications where you cannot disable the Microphone permissions or disable the applications entirely, particularly interesting to me is the “chrome cast” android OS features cannot be removed or disabled in any way!, also some system *** NFC, microphone , location,etc services which cannot be disabled in the background they are all forced ON with no disable allowed!!!

I had taken all precautions to stop this happening before it started and yet even with a De-googled privacy phone it is still happening the same as a Google infested Samsung device!

(note: all other devices are switched off and Faraday bagged and not in the vicinity of the other devices and many miles from the conversations being discussed)

Note the IODE firewall I have set to block all before I allow (strangely this is not the default on a privacy phone???)

Has anyone else experienced this ???

Can the IODE reps and @Plamen please investigate this ASAP as this is BIG TECH infiltration is a MAJOR DEAL BREAKER

No, we don’t use Google accounts or spying TVs so there is no way for Google to inform us about listening to us.

Woah bro respectfully I feel like I went through Burning man reading this, in all seriousness try top grade faraday bag but alot of it sound’s subjective, get into forensic analysis if it is something that is concerning you, sometimes don’t even use the phone if you can help it man. Take Care.

The first moment after reading the post I was sure where it comes from due to the verbal style but I still haven’t seen the one word that would justify my accusations.

This is questionable. I haven’t experienced targeted ads on my TV or other device since getting the Brax3 and signing out of google on everything except one isolated device that I use for all the non escape stuff.

I question your work environment: Are all your coworkers de-googled? As well as the company itself? If not, therein may lie a clue to your dilemma. Also, is the other party/parties you’re having said private conversations with using a Brax3 or other privacy focused device?

When people buy a Brax 3, do they assume that all the data profiling previously gathered from “normie” use of prior phones, along with all the associated cross-profiled data of contacts, suddenly vanishes into thin air?

Chances are, you are firmly associated/profiled and classified with all prior contacts and that it would be a relativity simple (for Google, Apple) to draw inference that YOU are the mysterious blob showing up in data pool harvested from your friends phones.

We are defined (and cursed) by prior associations, and with enough data can be singled out by massive data harvesters.

If you are the single Brax 3 user in a pool of 4 phones texting, calling or even discussing a topic within microphone range, it would be a trivial process for the data brokers to assume YOU are the prior contact (due to past associations) and serve the ads up to your electronic devices DESPITE being an actual unknown.

Sad but true…

Don’t use a google account either as written in the post , the TV is only used as a guest it is not and never has been signed in, the smart (Self Monitoring Analytical Reporting Technology) TV is a compromise due to living with Normie’s , not all people can delete everything they want to , some people have partners and families that will not listen about privacy and love there normie sh!T!

See other reply , well aware of the ACR SMART TV listening , still working on blocking the ports, this is not where the compromise is coming from, it is the receiver of the compromise not the generator

There are many layers on that.

Concerning the TV you can use a laptop, SBC or whatever connected to a simple TV or a large monitor and external speakers.

I doubt that you see things you have discussed at work except if the data can be extracted by others around you or the conversation started because people watch popular things on YouTube and then start those conversations at work.

Anyway they know everything and both cameras and the cell towers track you everyday.

The point is just to avoid a device that consnatly beacons to some company consuming extra power. There is nothing more than that.

Hey Mate, I know what you are saying and This did cross my mind originally also but the other people in the room don’t have any other links to me , work life is work life , home life is home life , there is no crossover, the only possibility would be Cellular triangulation, voice recognition and phone number (not all of them even have my NO.) on there devices, the transfer of conversations which are making its way to my TV still is hard to join the dots, my contacts list is 100% private other than making a call, it has zero internet access, Theirs are obviously normie phones as most people are unfortunately ignorant to privacy and prefer the convenience, If it is a prior Association and there phone is harvesting and linking to my TV then we are all F’D , I have warned people many a time that your privacy relies on the people at the other end of the conversation or message not the privacy minded degoogled one , seems as though this may be what it is , although I am going to do some more testing to see if I can narrow it down even further, there have been a few times where its not even at my work just a random conversation at say a random shop and this also turns up on the TV on Youtube , personally I still think there are some things in the Brax 3 that have not been fully turned off (possibly to meet global approvals for emergency (spying) hmhm I mean calling etc)

Though I’m a full-time anti-coincidence theorist I’m sensing a strong affirmation bias.

It would be an interesting exercise for you to try to discover how this could be done if you can take it as a fun puzzle and not as an obsession.

Try to replicate it without a phone or with a turned off phone to see if you notice any difference.

I have similar feelings; not that you are not justified in being a bit suspicious!

I try to separate topical trends that are pretty much universal and look for circumstantial evidence that directly ties the event to myself or my direct actions.

Being somewhat “Paranoid” is no longer a detriment in this day and age, but fight the real battles when they appear and be wary of suspecting everything.
