Hi all, so i have noted a few posts regarding mms.
Some times i either dont receive or its severely lagged in receiving mms or i receive some but not all sent at the same time
If thats not bad enough, sending is painful.
Sometimes it will just sit there saying ‘sending’ unsure if its sent or not. One time the recipient got the mms but it was still saying sending my end.
Other times it will error and say “not sent. Touch to retry”.
Touching it only copies the text i added back into the text box.
Ive tried this with multiple photos. Text. No text. Single photo.
Once it errors, there isnt any point in trying again as it just remains in error.
Says error code 5.
Can someone assist please? This has become very frustrating.
Have you tried changing the setting “Resize sent MMS Images” in the Fossify messenger app at any point? I changed off of the default 600KB setting, setting it to 1MB and I could no longer send photos via MMS. I got the “not sent. Touch to retry” message, but it would never work. I switched it back to 600KB and it worked again. I never did any more troubleshooting than that however. Not sure if this applies to your situation but I thought I’d mention it
I asked Fossify regarding this. Error code 5 is too large of a file size for carrier settings. Apparently your carrier sets a size limit for what can be sent. I reduced the file size to 300 on mine and it seems to work. I’m using Mint Mobile.
Reduced image size down to 300mb from the standard 600mb
Still hit and miss. Same error code.
My old phobe could send and receive images much larger. Same sim. Same carrier. So dont think thats the issue. Any one else have any ideas possibly? Sorry, i can learn and have a common sense practical approach but im no i.t. guru!
