I updated to 7.0. After updating I couldn’t find the temporary updater to uninstall it. I was at home with wifi and everything worked. I went away for a week and discovered I didn’t have internet. Since then 7.1 came out so I tried to update hoping that would fix it. It won’t download saying check internet connection. I’m on wifi and it’s working. I’m at a loss.
Thanks, but this well beyond a 75 yr. old with no tech background. I wish I had never updated to 7.0 to begin with. I would revert back if I could. Everything worked fine before. Now it sucks.
Click the second link on my previous post and download the update, then open the updater and click the 3 dots on the upper right corner and choose “Local update” and select the file you downloaded to install it.
After reboot go again to the 3 dots and select to remove the Updater’s temporary update if there is such an option.

Thank you for your help. I was able to download and install 7.1. Unfortunately I still don’t have internet without wifi.
You have to reset the APN settings for your carrier, first try
Settings > System > Reset options > Reset Mobile Network Settings
then reboot the phone, if the problem persists go to
Settings > Network & internet > SIMs
and check that the settings are what your carriers requires, if it’s OK delete them and reenter them manually.
I followed your instructions but still no success.
Check in your SIM’s APN settings if you have an APN entry of type ims beyond the internet one.
No I don’t see anything like that, but I was just messing around with apn settings and somehow got it to work. Thanks for your help, I really appreciate it.
@plamen it seems that there is some “bug” that doesn’t push the settings to the modem though they appear in Android
Do you remember what you did?
Here is what I think happened. I received instructions to delete the apn data and re-enter it. I first just used the mouse to erase the data and then re-entered. Nothing changed. Then I noticed the 3 dots on the top right corner (Menu) and clicked on it and there is an option to delete the data. I did that and then re-entered again and this time it worked. Hope this helps.
