No internet with ethernet and wifi turned off, and sim card turned off

Greeting! Not sure if this is the place to ask this question. So taking a stab here. My ethernet connection is not working. I get the NS_ERROR_OFFLINE code from firefox/IodeOS. I have a ethernet connection to write this on a computer, so I do not think it is my ISP. I updated to 7.1 and got a message to download it again, though it is already downloaded. I am not sure what other information would be useful to help.

7.1 had 2 updates within 2 days. I think the first one was an Android patch and the most recent an Iode’ patch.

Can u plug that ethernet cable into another device to make sure it is a live wire?

HI Lazarus,

Thanks for the reply! Yes I was able to plug the ethernet cable into another device and it worked. I tried taking out the physical sim card to try that. Nope. I was not able to download the 7.2 update then. I look for answers on the internet too. Thank you!!

Who can I contact or ask? Or where can I look to try to figure this out. Is resetting the best option. That would be a painful option for me.

This is from https://android.stackexchange.com/questions/170387/android-wifi-says-connected-no-internet-but-internet-works-just-fine ……When connected to networks (especially Wi-Fi networks), android system checks if there is an active internet connection by perfoming checks on certain pre-defined URLs belonging to Google servers. If it fails, there’ll be an exclamation mark on the Wi-Fi signal icon and a “Connected, no internet” notification is shown (even though you can access other websites and the internet is up an running) so it may be a temporary problem with connectivity to that specific URL:

Wonder if something like this is going on?

Update: Not sure if things just fixed themselves a couple of days ago or if the hick up disrupted the ethenet adaptors, but it seems to be working again! Thanks to the invisible fixers !
