i’d like to do a backup before resetting the phone. There is a backup option in Settings > System. If i backup with this tool, would restoring after reset bring back the bug that is preventing updates from being installed?
Did you try the manual update 7.2 ?
Someone used Seedvault recently but many users report problems.
I don’t know where is the problem.
Probably not possible.
You could also try to uninstall the updater and reinstall it.
Remove the update holding on the updater icon > App info > 3 dots > uninstall updates
Then Settings > Apps > Preinstalled apps > Iodé news
Then install again the transitional if possible.
holding on the updater icon > App info > there is no 3 dots here.
Settings > Apps > Preinstalled apps > Iodé news shows News and Updater What action do i perform here?
i do not like installing updates soon after they are available. i have read in some posts in this community that people have experienced spontaneous reboots after the 7.1 update. So, waiting a few week before updating to a new version seems prudent.
i noticed that in Settings > Apps > Preinstalled apps > Iodé news shows Updater with a download symbol next to it. Tapping on that showed an “install“ option. So, i installed it after uninstalling UpdaterBetaIode6v3 and rebooted the phone. Launched the Updater and it now shows the 7.2 update. i tried to install 7.0 update manually and it worked. The issue seems to be fixed.
Thank you ciccio70. That method worked for me also and I now have 7.2.
