Pre-sales: if I use the phone as my all day hot spot, will that physically wreck my battery?

One use I have requires using the phone as a hotspot. Will that swell my battery?

it’s mostly the way you charge the battery that is important, keeping continuous charging/decharging cycles between 20% - <95% is good until the battery reaches its end of life and starts losing capacity

if the device is fixed somewhere and you can open it you could operate without a battery, in case some parts of the motherboard need battery power you can bridge the USB power through a charging board to the battery pins of the motherboard

I’ve been using mine as a hotspot since August. No issues so far. I usually have my phone plugged in, with charging set to stop at 80%. I remove the case when at home running the hotspot

I used to use my S22 in the same configration, and it would get much hotter than the Brax3. Hot enough that I had a small usb powered fan blowing on it.

Yeah, the S22 was my first experience with running a hotspot for days at a time, so I assumed it was a standard byproduct of the operation. Not until I set my Brax 3 in the same config did I notice “Hey, wait, why is the Brax not running warm?” But yet the wifi coverage and speeds were the same. Glad to have the Brax 3
