Printing from phone

I want to be able to print from my phone the printer on my Ethernet LAN.

I tried disabling Default Print Service on Trebuchet.

I also tried enabling VPN bypass for LAN.

After I enter the printer IP address, it searches but never finds a printer on the network.

Has anyone been successful here?

Did you check if your printer has an app that supports your exact printer model ? I found that this works best. Good Luck

I returned my HP printer for the exact reason that needs an app and constant internet connection to work though it could work perfectly for the first 20 “test” pages on Linux as they are the most supported printers with open source tools.

It sounds like a configuration problem, iode app could be blocking the connection too though I can access my router without any problem.

Are there any other devices that can use the printer?

If yes, what OSes do they run ?

I’ll have to look if there is such thing. This is a large commercial size laser printer copier.

Both of my Mac desktop computers can access the router via Ethernet and WiFi and use the computer.

I’ll will test if another mobile can see and print…

Indeed you may need an app to do this, check on the printer’s website.
