Problem transferring signal message history

So you can use WiFi to transfer chat history from one to another phone.

I thought it would be easy but the iode blocker apparently isn’t allowing it. I tried to turn it to off (null) and even standard but it still shows chat.signal.org on the stream of blocked items.

I can’t make the Brad 3 discoverable to the old phone.

I’ve messed with it so much that I think I messd up the signal app on the Brax 3 so now I’m going to try to delete and redownload it.

I must’ve accidentally hit “skip (restore)” because now every time I open it wants me to sign in and create a new account.

Any help anyone can offer would be appreciated.

I didn’t really want family to know I’d gotten a new phone and I intended to keep it in the Private Space because I dont even get alerts from it, by my settings preference, as I just check in periodically.

Currently I’ll just keep I isolated onto the old phone and have to keep I charged and check I daily.

Okay. Everything worked just fine yesterday and now I can’t even get aurora store to open. I seat chef for Signal and it shows it, but it won’t load and if I click download it says its not available for my device.

Seems o me that the iode blocker is the suspect. Perhaps I clicked something I shouldn’t have.

EDIT:: NEVERMIND. Tried again and it works.

Aurora Store is historically flaky because Google screws with it all the time, trying to break it.

As you did, just keep trying and it will eventually work.

Myself I am impatiently awaiting the port of a good Linux distro to this phone to get the hell away from Android and totally avoid Google.

Okay. I don’t know what was different but it occurred to me to try it again and it worked.

Unfortunately you will probably still need to run Android apps in UBT or similar for some things…
