Replacement parts for repair - Yup, I broke it already

I’m loving my Brax3 … unfortunately it fell flat on its face and the screen shattered. It still works as I have the privacy screen protector installed and it is holding the screen together very well.

Are replacement parts going to be available at some point once the dust settles from the order backlog?

I am in the same situation, need a spare glass for the Brax3
Does any one know if the glass and display is compatible with other bigger brands like the Motorola G24? (The Motorola G24 also has a 6.56 display according to specs, but I dont know if it is compatible)
Please speak up if any one knows about compatible glass and displays please. Also if they are available in Europe, where I am based.

Welcome to the forum both of you. The answer is it is planned but not yet confirmed. Back in May @plamen advised the below - perhaps he can jump in here and give an update?

Given the last phones of the origjnal orders have only just shipped, and there is some accessory orders still to ship, plus the microSD cards for the earlier backers as well; I suspect parts may not be realistically available until after the next production batch of phones is completed around December. So perhaps post-Christmas?

But hopefully plamen can provide a more specific updated timeline of BraxTech’s plans for the spare parts…

it’s easy to say “don’t feel bad” because I’ve done it too. But I hate that I have also done the same thing, and I feel bad. It just dropped and the screen broke right away and my case and two screen protectors were on it. Anyway I’m not even going to internalize it, I just want a spare screen as well. I’ve read the thread and seems like it just a wait and see.

@plamen good day, I wanted to reply back on this again. First thank you for offering to replace the phone. However after receiving the approval and return order number, I took off the privacy screen that I received which was also on top of the normal screen cover, the cracks in my screen were actually ONLY on the privacy screen , NOT the phone screen itself. So apparently I thought the screen was fragile yet the privacy screen and possibly normal screen did it’s intended job and absorbed that light drop. So no replacement required.:clap:t4:

Oh, that’s great to hear. I assumed the privacy screen wasn’t on. You need to make quite the effort to brake the phone display through the tampered glass.

@plamen Did a wallet style cover get any further as mentioned in this thread ?

@plamen I have a faulty OmniVision 50MP sensor, it’s only visible in low light conditions, a white dot and a vertical zone , can I have a replacement in the guarantee? I emailed but they told me to post here.

We haven’t made any progress with that, unfortunately.

Yes, we can replace it. When emailing the team, refer to my response on this post.

I am also having a lot of difficulty reading my phone screen at times, mostly outside in the day time. I have to repeatedly up the brightness to maximum. Occasionally in some light conditions i cant see clearly enough to up the brightness in settings (usually outside in the day time). Alot of the time its ok, though bright ness is regularly an issue. I dont know tech well enough to identify what the issue is (sensor, software, screen…?) but is it possible to upgrade the screen to the newer screen coming out in the next distribution? At the moment im still swapping my sim between my old iphone and new Brax as im still familiarising my self with it & using it more and more. So far im loving it. Cant wait to go full Linux set up across all my devices.

Thank you Brax Team so very much for your contribution to tech space. Absolute legends.

Set the brightness to manual and set it to maximum when you go outside, the setting is both beside the slider and in the settings. The next batch of phones has a brighter screen.

Is it possible to incorporate the brightness level into the slide down menu?

I saw a post on Brax.me from “Busha70 dated 01/01/26 In the Chat Brax3 Phones” where he found a Wallet case. Busha70 said: “Look for a wallet case that fits a Nokia G400. You will need to remove the internal case the phone fits in and replace it with the clear case that comes with the Brax3. I used industrial Velcro to attach it to the wallet case” Good Luck!!

It’s there, you have to slide more to appear, on the ritght there is a button to toggle automatic on and off.

I was also curious about whether we can eventually get an upgraded display installed, because the phone is virtually unusable in daylight, and just like Happyfeet2 I haven’t fully switched to daily driver with my Brax3 because of this
