So I used my second brax3 flashed with lunar os, that went great. Then I went to flash Ubuntu touch. I followed the instructions in order copy and pasted commands to make sure I did not type them wrong. Phone did not boot after about an hour. I tried reflashing Lunar and got errors about partitions not existing. I tried to reflash the lunar files and ubuntu files and hoped that would fix it. So now the phone just gets stuck on the brax splash screen and the only thing I can get it to boot into is holding the power button and volume up and can choose fastboot but recovery does not pull anything up. I tried running spflash tool and tried to install that way to see if it would work, but whenever I plug the phone in on that it just starts boot looping. Is there a way to fix this ?
Maybe this will help: Any help for Ubuntu Touch tests on Brax3 - #34 by J.D.Laub
I also ran into problems because I had flashed an older version of LunarOS instead of 6.0. It’s probably not exactly the same issue as yours, but the solution might be the same. Ubuntu Touch wouldn’t boot and, after another flashing attempt, I ended up in a boot loop.
The fix was first to force the BraX 3 to power off: (very) long press Power + Volume Down (if I remember correctly). Then I flashed LunarOS 6.0 with SPFlash, choosing the “Firmware upgrade” option.
That sounds like it will work from my experience. The link above also has a link inside for spflash for linux since I don’t have a windows machine lol.
sounds like we did the same thing with Lunar, I didn’t even think about it.
Thank you man.
Using spflashtool for linux I was able to go back to Lunar 6.0. Just need to let charge before trying to flash ubuntu touch again.
Thank you.
