I previously had a Motorola which I could shake in a chopping motion twice and it would turn on the camera light to be used as a flashlight.
No words can describe how handy this is.
I bought the Brax3 and it doesn’t come with the same feature but there are several apps that can be downloaded to do something similar.
I have tried multiple apps and the problem for each is, the phone doesn’t repeatably turn the light on and off when I perform the motion to turn the light on and off.
Is this a phone issue, or if it is an app issue, does anyone have a recommendation for one I could look into?
Motorola used to call this the chop-chop motion. I haven’t used this type of motion in years. It was a very helpful gesture. I can’t always tell now if the flashlight is on because I keep my BraX3 in a case that has a sliding cover over the camera.
Unfortunately I uninstalled the one I was using before I posted and I don’t remember what it was called, but I did try ChopChop and it works marginally better.
If I chop it twice, sometimes it comes on, and other times it doesn’t. Sometime I only get to the first chop and it comes on before I can get to the second chop. Other times it doesn’t register anything at all, despite chopping twice over and over until it finally turn on, then it won’t turn off no matter how many times I chop.
I played with the sensitivity, but it doesn’t resolve the inconsistency.
The live motion meter seems to register any movements well, so it seems as though the sensor is working fine.
