I go through the setup and at the end, I get a notice saying the phone is not compatible with their network. I bought the sim at Walmart. What do I do now?
I would say go back to walmart and say their sim doesn’t work
Straight talk is part of Verizon. The brax3 phone is not compatible with the Verizon Network as documented early on. As of now, any of the TMobile cariiers [like Mint mobile] are the only carriers that work with the Brax3. They are in talks with ATT and there carriers to get the Brax3 certified but that may take some time. There are some who have sucessfuly changed their IME# to one that is campatible with ATT network.
FYI, US Mobile’s AT&T SIM works (their “Dark Star” network) with no IMEI change needed, I am not sure I have heard of any other AT&T MVNOs working “out of the box” besides US Mobile yet, as you indicate.

So for Tracfone (which is the same company as Straight Talk, though both now part of the Verizon conglomerate), one needs the “Dual Sim Kit”, which has “Sim A” for use on Verizon’s network, and “Sim B” for use on T-Mobile’s network. One can’t always tell from the packaging whether it’s a one-sim (Verizon-only) or two-sim (Verizon + T-Mobile) Sim Kit. The Verizon ones won’t work with the Brax, but I activated the “Sim B” for the T-Mobile network just fine, again that was for Tracfone but I think Straight Talk would be similar, if they in fact do offer a similar dual-sim kit.
