Teams app question

Does anyone know if the Teams app on Aurora is safe to download and use on a Brax3? Unfortunately I am being pressured to use Teams and I don’t have any Windows device to do so.

It might work but I would not install it as first thing it mentions is Copilot and then it wants 71 different permissions.

If anything, I might try to run it thru Brave with extra shields and privacy up. I run a lot of things browser only, even if there are apps.

If your using Linux at home just search for Teams and there are a few apps that will work.

I cannot say about safe. About use, yes, successfully worked on Iode / Brax3 and also LineageOS on various phones without google play services (ignore any complaints by the app about not finding google play services). My comment is not quite current to the latest OS and app releases but not too far back.

Thank you. I will try it on Brave, web based. I suspect they load all kinds of tracking stuff in apps. I only use very few as well. Thanks again.

Thanks. I will try from my Linux desktop at home on a browser.

I installed the Client for Teams on my laptop and it seems to work. Now I have to find out how the devil it works. Thanks for you help.

I have issues with MS work apps. My employer uses InTune to verify us and the way they set it up it requires Google services (it did not have to be that way but they’re not changing it for 1 person in over 4000). I’m still able to download and use MFA authenticators and Teams, but I am unable to use Teams with my work account on my phone.

Have you tried Teams thru the browser?

I couldn’t make it work but I will try again. The Teams client works on Linux.
