Could this be an error? Or is it a super protective case like the Otter Box?

It is correct. I think it has to do with the fact its not a large scale product that can be mass produced to a large consumer audiance. Iphones and Samsungs are numerous amongst the general consumer population and many companies use these specs to mass produce cases with certainty that a majority of the cases will be sold. This phone’s specs are unique so you can’t easily sell them - the only population interested in them is extremely limited. I found the same to be true with other privacy phones that were not repurposed android devices of a mainstream brands. I believe this is the reason, but I don’t know for a fact. I do know this is the case with other limited production, unique spec phones.

There was a guy in our community who sold Brax2 cases, 3d printed soft plastic, for $8. I still have it, but my Brax2 died, with a loose internal battery. Maybe he’ll crank up his printer again for the Brax3.

Yea, I kinda agree. It’s all about quantity… for example, I can but a 35lb cinder block for $1.98… seriously?!?
Very cool! If that guy does want to do it again let us know! That would be of interest to the BraX3 community I would think. Especially anyone doing custom colors or designs to personalize the phone like the mainstream brands do or even protective cases for kids (or those who have kids) so they don’t bash it up. Anything the community could do to add to it would be awesome! And often what the community produces is better quality and better thought out than cookie-cutter accessories that you get with major brands.

The phone case is rugged with a privacy enclosure (pics here).
If somebody can do it for 10$, I’d love to have a chat with them lol
Phone cases made by the community is something really cool. That’s why we published the full 3D model of the phone so we enable stuff like that.

That’s looking really nice! Those pics are better than the original ones that were on the Indiegogo site for ordering from - very reassuring!! Looking forward to using that.

The 3D file is not downloadable though. Or did I miss something?
Hi Per, you should be able to download it now.
I was able to download 4 different file types of the 3d model of the Brax3; but none of them are STL files. Does anyone know how to convert the 3d model to a STL file? If I can get this, I will create cases and accessories in FreeCAD that anyone can download and print for their Brax3. In fact, we have multiple CAD users in our group who may want to create accessories for the Brax3.

All of the online GLB to STL converters I found had a 100MB limit. So, the Brax3.glb wouldn’t work. However, I found this site that doesnt have such a low limit - Convert GLB to STL 
I tried to upload the STL here; but the file extension whitelist wont allow it. Though, anyone here can use the site with the GLB file to get a STL.
Well, opening up the created STL file in FreeCAD resulted in something less than ideal. So, may still be at square one. Please let me know if anyone can make a valid STL out of one of the Brax3 3d models. Thanks!
Perfect! That did it. I now have this converted into a STL file. Is there a place I can upload this to share? It is nearly 500MB.
