imei doesn’t work on either network. I don’t have the technical skills to try to change the number and honestly it shouldn’t be on me to have to. How does a phone ship without working imei number? I can’t even use it as mini ubuntu machine, because over a year later, it still isn’t working. I paid all this money for a brick. I have no idea what to do with this now.
does it work on wifi? I have the same issue with ATT.
Let’s try to identify the issue.
- Does your IMEI start with 35000216… ? This is the official BraX3 IMEI range.
- The BraX3 is officially approved by tmobile for the US (link to online IMEI compatibility verifier). Is this where you are located? I can not find an online IMEI compatibility check tool for Mas Movil, but they should be able to verify this for you directly.
- Are you sure that you have selected the correct APN? APN settings can be provided by your mobile carrier. In most cases, these will be automatically set up for you, but sometime you may need to select manually.
In any case, for telco related issues, it’s always best to start by reaching out to the telco. Since they have access to their backend, they could easily identify what could be the issue, whether on their end or our end.
Try to activate the sim on another phone, then just put it in the Brax 3. The sim I took from my Samsung worked fine in the Brax 3.
