You’re right. I autopiloted this.
It’s unclocked.
Seems that the route to resolving the issue will be the same as resolving the wifi issue - through a proper lineageOS port.

I do appreciate that you are watching this ![]()
You’re located in Canada but have T-Mobile SIM and plan? Did you just recently move to Canada from the States or bought the T-Mobile plan as a 2nd line for contacts in the States?
I’m in a similar kind of situation so I’m interested in your issue
. However, different in that I’m in Canada with a Freedom Mobile SIM
3six9, I just have the US SIM, with a very unique DC number and don’t want to lose it, and I sometimes use it to receive calls from the US. Wanted to use BraX3 for this line, but ended up moving Freedom Mobile SIM from S24 to Brax3 as I figured out I won’t need Freedom WiFi calling locally in Canada, and what is important - almost all my apps work well in BraX3 - banking, car wash, password app, EV charging, FB, all messaging apps (Signal, Session, Telegram, WhatsApp, FB Messenger). All this makes the new phone pretty much usable, so BraX3 generally met my goals.
My Freedom plan has Roam Beyond so I can use the line while out of the country.
As for those that rely on WiFi calling, they have to wait for iodeOS upgrade hoping the fix is in there.
WiFI calling is fixed in iodeOS 6.9.
The version is available for downloading via the beta.
Once you’ve installed the OS, you need to Reset Mobile Network Settings (Settings > System > Reset Options
Great news. Being a bit dense, but how do i download a beta. Settings / auto update only shows 6.8.![]()
This is great news, any estimate as to when 6.9 might be released? I will wait till after beta. ![]()
You need to download and install the beta updater app on your BraX3. Download link: beta/UpdaterBetaIode6v2.apk · master · ota / ota · GitLab
Once you do, you will be able to download and install beta updates.
Should be soon. Once we validate that the fix works and there are no newly introduced bugs. Could be a in a week or so.
Isn’t it recommended to make a backup of the device before loading a beta app?
It’s a good practice to do a backup before installing a beta OS update.
Im waiting for the stable release i think. I read somewhere that going from stable to beta is usually ok, but when you come back to a stable release it wipes the phone due to it being a new install.
I’ve not heard that would happen. >Plamen what say you?
