I have some Yubico NFC keys and I was wondering if it was possible to use them to unlock the iode’ lock screen. I found this posted three years ago, and it seems that Yubico had Android software available that would do this by USB:
Yes, if you use the static password functionality available in the “YubiKey personalization tool” available on their website. You can set it to be in either slot 1 or 2, normally slot 2 is unprogrammed and slot 1 is programmed for one time passwords. Basically, if you program a static password into slot 2, you can then insert the key and hold the gold button for five seconds to get a static password automatically entered into your phone, followed by an automatic press of a virtual enter button so it’ll unlock. Not sure about doing it with NFC though unfortunately.

Nope-it just generates one time codes for your accounts and that changes every minute.

Unless there is more functionality to their app that I haven’t understood. I did play with this thinking they may have put that app on the current Android app but I didn’t see anything about slots like was mentioned in that post.
This is something that needs to be enabled on OS level, through the code. At least that was the case with older Android version (I’ve managed a project that included similar feature, but using Bluetooth instead of NFC), and as far as I am aware, nothing changed with newer Android versions in that regard.
