Visual Voicemail

Visual Voicemail doesn’t work. I don’t know if that’s normal for degoogled ROMs. I’ve had two other phones, neither Graphene nor Lineage worked either. I had and still have T-Mobile. I’m curious to know if VVM works for others, and how to make it work.

I’m tagging along on your post rather than clutter the forum with multiple posts. I had a couple of questions relating to T-Mobile and their apps. I am going to take a guess that the features Visual Voicemail and T-Life as well as T-Mobile WifI Calling are only available on T-Mobile provided phones - correct?
I can’t even download the T-Mobile apps from Aurora as I get warned that they are not for my device.
I read somewhere that another user had tried setting up WiFi calling and had not had luck. The poster mentioned that it was critical for them especially in areas where there is poor cell coverage. Has anyone managed to get around this issue i.e. getting WiFi calling to work on Brax3

I have T-Mobile and both WiFi calling and visual voicemail work for me

The warning from Aurora store is an error on their end. Sometimes restarting the phone solves it, other times you need to force stop Aurora and clear cache and data

Does a T-Mobile app need to be installed to make visual voice mail work?

Yes, the T-Mobile visual voicemail app.
Without it, you can still access your voicemail by calling into it

Thanks. I’ll look for it.

I shut the phone down and restarted. Successfully installed TLife. With VVM i get this message from Aurora:

Can you please help? Not sure if clearing cache is next step

That is still a glitch with Aurora.
Remember, they are playing a cat and mouse game with google play store to get the apps to us without an account. You can try logging out and back into Aurora store anonymously, or force close the app and clear cache and data on it, or try somewhere else like apk pure

Keep trying several times a day. Sometimes waiting until the next day or 2 resolves this issue. I was unable to install the T-Mobile VVM app for several days then it worked. Like someone said below aurora is trying to fool the google play store and I’ve had the same error before but numerous tries and days later it works.

What you can do to reset Aurora store is long press the app icon > app info > force stop. Then storage and cache > clear cache and clear storage.
Then you can open Aurora store again

Once I saw that your Visual Voicemail working, I gave it a try, and now it is installed… Thank you!

I didn’t make any real change except to the Aurora force stop and clear storage/cache. (Thank you @guardian241 )

Not sure if the Aurora reset did it or it just worked like you said…

OK. I finally understand. When I asked about installing the app, I didnt know what T-Mobile app to install, so I installed T-Life. It installed but didn’t fix the VVM. Then I saw, in this chat, mention of a T-Mobile Visual Voice Mail app. Ohhhh! Lightbulb!

I did need to force stop Aurora and clear cache and storage. The VVM app installed and worked immediately.

The T-Mobile VVM app does work.

But in the phone app, the voice mail still can’t activate.

I was able to download the VVM but when I tried to set it up by opening the app, it couldn’t connect to the internet, tried both wi-fi and cell data. It’s not a big deal for me, so I will just let it go.

I had to turn off my vpn.
But, once the T-Mobile app was installed it didnt work as I assumed. I really don’t know what to expect. I never used it on a Googled Phone. For me, it was all a wasted effort. If there is a real feature benefit, it would be nice to see a good article about it. What it’s supposed to do. How to set up. Troubleshooting.

Mostly, I’d like the phone app to make the Voicemail tab work.

I am calling my voicemail for the past two weeks it tells me that voicemail is blocked after entering my PIN. Is this a Brax3 issue or with ATT?

T-Mobile Visual Voicemail downloaded from the Aurora Store and it successfully installed; however, it will not activate. I don’t know if iodeOS is blocking crucial sites at t-mobile and/or google.

Are there recommended privacy-centric visual voicemail apps for iodeOS that will do the job?
