HI. Total n00b here. Using voip.ms I’ve watched all of Rob’s videos. I set it up properly, then messed up a setting somewhere. Voip.ms text messages banner will not show up on lockscreen or when phone is unlocked. the Voip.ms icon won’t show the notification dot on the app icon. I have to open the app, then I get the alerts. then it works, sometimes? I”ve checked the notification settings endlessly. everything, including micro g and push are all check marked. same with battery, unlimited usage. I’m really stumped. I checked a post here about it, and it didn’t help. Any ideas?
There are 2 versions of this app. F-droid has the open source version but there is another version on Aurora store. The one on F-droid says the Google play version has push notifications.

Aurora. I had everything working flawlessly, then messed with the settings. i’ve been hours digging, trying to find what I did. Tempted to uninstall/reinstall….Thank you for the response!
I went on their site and don’t see anyway of getting a free account. Did u have to pay to get a phone number there?

The easy way to start is are all the other apps getting notifications correctly and only this 1 app is not or is everything not working correctly?
If its only this 1 app, I would just uninstall it, reboot the phone, then reinstall it.
If its more than just this 1 app with problems, then you have to look in the system settings.
