I modified an existing Nokia G400 Wallet Phone Case to fit our BraX3. This is for my 2nd BraX3 running Ubuntu Touch. The case was bought off Amazon but any case for that Nokia G400 phone should work:
The power and volume controls fit but the charging port and headphone jack are not aligned. Almost but not quite:
What I did was cut off the inner silicone case and then glue on the included clear BraX3 silicone case. All the ports are then aligned and the front of your baby has some extra protection!
I used the original Gorilla glue which expands as it interacts with water. I sanded the silicone case where the glue goes so it wasnât smooth and then sanded the glued area of the wallet case to clean it up some and remove anything loose. I then cleaned both with 70% rubbing alcohol. Donât put the glue too close to the edge. Leave about 1/4" for it to expand. This is not quick setting crazy glue so u have at least 10 minutes to get it where u want it to stick. Clamp it and weight it. Clean up any excess spreading glue after 10 minutes with a dry cloth. Then let it sit for at least 2 hours clamped and weighted.
Donât put your phone in this case till the glue has set for a good 24 hours. I then wiped the inside of the silicone case with 70% rubbing alcohol so that my phone would not get glued into the case. Dry with a cloth and then insert BraX3 phone. All seems to work perfectly and my Ubuntu Touch pocket computer looks sharp!
