With UBtouch eventually making it to the brax3 it got me thinking.
When using UBtouch or like furios, since you are using android in a container such as waydroid or Andromeda, what info do those apps get about the phone ?. So basically I plan on using f droid apps etc still myself. But if I’m talking to a newcomer who is interested, would being run in a container essentially make things like Facebook not be a threat (except for inside the app itself).?
Is it the same as using de googled android with microg or is it even more private being on a container ?
Emulators create fake devices and apps live in a virtual world isolated from the baremetal OS and resources, you can feed the Android with anything you like as “device info”, it’s the same like the most common Virtual Box but have a look at their documentation and fora for more information on how to tweak it.
That’s what I was thinking. I did look at the documentation bit it didn’t white answer what I was wondering that’s why I came here.
So my understanding is using waydroid or something similar, the android apps would be able to gather zero data outside of the waydroid VM or container essentially making it a more privacy focused option over a de googled phone even.
