What are the major differences Brax3/Wink?

I understand the data wipe and keyboard differences - but the Brax 3 disables all things Bluetooth/Wi-Fi/Sim/location/camera/mic So why the Wink?

Also, what modules can you actually swap?

Hi there. There are a few improvements the Brax Wink will bring over the BraX3, including:

  • a higher resolution display. Wink will use OLED technology
  • a more powerful CPU. Wink CPU is about 2 times more powerful than the BraX3 chip
  • Wink will debut the BraxOS, which will include more advanced features aside from the data wipe features, including data only mode, sensor control, zero mode, and a full app ecosystem developed by us

We have a few modules in mind, apart from the announced keyboard and battery extension modules. We will be sharing these in due course with the community, as we’d like to get feedback on which ones are worth building.

Non techie person type question :grinning_face: but will “either phone” do anything to stop the feds/govt from locating you or doing what they do to see your stuff?

Or is all this just to stop data privacy stuff from being seen by Google, FB, etc…?

Cell phones are the worst and hardest to hide as no matter how safe you are and everything you might do, you still MUST connect to some network somewhere to do anything. So they will see the phone and your location in some ways no matter what, I am pretty sure.

If they can see the phone, then they can see its at your house, your work, friends houses. So even if its not known to be used by you, going to be obvious its you “if” anyones been watching.
