@plamen What happened to the dual sim the user manual shows the 2nd slot can be used for either the 2nd sim or SD card, the SIM card tray won’t fit the 2nd sim
A little bit of past discussion in these threads. It seems that the design changed at some point to remove that feature, but either wasn’t announced or at least wasn’t announced in a way that many people heard of the change.
The inside slot of the tray is for 1 physical SIM card
The outside slot of the tray is for the micro SD card to expand memory (up to 524GB?)
In order to have dual SIM capability one is physical and the other is eSIM. You may not be able to have both SIM active simultaneously so there is a toggle feature in the Settings to turn each SIM on or off
@3six9 If you look at the following link, you will find that the Brax3 supports 2 simultaneous SIM profiles:
I have verified this myself on my Brax3.
So you can have both sims active for use simultaneously? Toggled “on” in Settings?
I read it to mean that there could be two profiles active for the SIMS… I would speculate that having both active simultaneously (unless one was voice only and the other data only) would cause latency and other issues to occur. Something I can’t play with since I just have one SIM in the Brax3
@3six9 That is my understanding: you can have both sims active for use simultaneously
@plamen Can you confirm this?
No that’s just for the eSims.
You can have 1 physical SIM and 2 (or possibly more) eSIMs loaded in the phone.
You can only have the physical SIM and 1 eSIM active at the same time.
The toggles are to choose which of your eSIMs is active alongside your physical SIM. i.e. you can only have the physical SIM and 1 eSIM “On” at the same time (or only just either one).

Yes?
P.S. If you are referring to dual ‘physical’ SIMs that was in the original proposed spec and launch but got dropped sometime before the final spec was confirmed prior to production. Only 1 physical SIM in the specs published.
EDIT: P.P.S. Sorry and yes, it will still likely have the toggle just so you can disable it without needing to physically remove it. I slightly edited my previous post to remove any confusion.
Where is the image from?
Thanks for sharing!
There’s been a miscommunication around the dual physical SIM capability originally, which was later clarified with the FCC certification authority as well.
Unfortunately, the device has only 1 physical SIM slot.
