What is the IPX rating of the Brax3 phone against dust and water?
From experience I can tell you the Brax3 is as waterproof as a toaster
Funny, but not very practical. We don’t carry toasters around with us in all kinds of conditions. Why would someone design a phone without a modicum amount of protection against weather!
My understanding around the Brax3 design at this point is a very low cost privacy phone, fast to market, easily repairable. Would be nice to have waterproof seals? - yes.
Would that complicate the design and reparability? - yes
Probably a marketing research/poll would be nice with more design improvements to get to a future “Brax4” release with higher cost.
Would I pay more? - personally, yes.
Cheers!
