Suggest you go to Rumble and leave a comment on Rob’s videos. See his latest extolling the virtue of downloading apps from FDroid. I guess his wifi works. Subject matter is detecting wifi signals, of all things. Makes me curious to know if he’s aware of this situation.
Rob is aware of the WiFi issue - as evidenced in his reply to a comment made by someone in one of his earlier videos, where he dismissed the negative comment, stating that the WiFi problem has impacted only a few Brax3 users, out of thousands who haven’t had the problem.
However, if you search YouTube for “Brax3” you can find some 3rd party reviews where they ran into this WiFi problem (and, at the moment, there are only about five actual Brax3 reviews on Youtube - not simply unboxing videos, and not published by Rob).
It would be nice to know just how small a boat I’m sharing with others who cannot use WiFi with their Brax3 (on one or more routers). I’m thinking it’s more than a handful of people.
Here’s one such review that was easy for me to relocate, as it’s one of my favorite channels.
This can’t be good for business…
Wifi authentication issues solved in latest beta, that will come “OTA” if you have the beta updater app installed, or you can download the OTA update to the phone and use the updater app > 3 dots > “local update” to install it. Here’s the post with the build link, and a post or 2 down I explain more fully the fix.
It will also come as a “stable OTA” update in the near future as well.
