I have factory reset the BraX3 and still have the same issue and showing anonymous and Google account even though I haven’t added any accounts. How can this be if the phone was factory reset and configured again from scratch??
Happens not infrequently… Big G wants to know everything and goes out of their way to cause problems with Aurora. I try not to use anything that is only available on that store. If you log out and back in it may help, and the Aurora site has methods to help out. Also can try checking for updates in F-Droid for Aurora…
When you can get logged into Aurora then you can click the three dot menu (top right) and turn on the Spoof Manager. If you have trouble downloading then use the spoof Manager.
But you still need to get in, so it’s a tip for later.
Thats all that was said about it, really.
Updating the Aurora Store in F-Droid resolved the issue. Now if I can get rid of the Google account and just have the anonymous account I’ll be good to go!!
This is a common issue with Aurora store. Google are rate limiting the amount of requests an account can make. Since aurora uses a unified account to download apps on behalf of users, often the limit is reached. It may take some time till the service is available again (when google restarts the cycle for new queries).
This issue cleared up for me a few hours ago without any action on my part. I guess it is a matter of being patient and trying not to hit Aurora more than you need to.
I just went through this moments ago… tried to log in as “anonymous” on Aurora without VPN on and was denied saying “you are rate limited”. I switched on BytzVPN and was able to get in right away.
