BraX3 delivery updates

Confirmation of reception of rugged case. Arrived today (UK).

Hi community,

We have a few important updates to share across production, accessory deliveries, and an exciting new announcement.

1. BraX3 — Second Production Batch: Revised Timeline

As mentioned in our last update, we’ve been navigating the global RAM supply situation. We’ve ended up switching suppliers entirely, which means we need to run additional testing before moving into fulfillment of the second BraX3 production round - a necessary step any time a core component changes.

We’re now expecting production to complete in mid-March, with shipping starting towards the end of March and completing early-mid April. We know this pushes things back further than any of us would like, and we genuinely appreciate your patience with us as we work through it.

The extra time before production does give us the opportunity to push display performance further than what we shared in the last update, so we’re making sure it counts.

2. Rugged Phone Case Deliveries (Batch 1) — Shipped

We’re glad to confirm that the remaining rugged phone cases from the first production batch have now been shipped. If your delivery information was incomplete, we’ve reached out directly via email to resolve it.

If you’re still expecting your rugged case from Batch 1 and haven’t received a tracking number or an email from us, please contact us at [email protected] and we’ll get it sorted.

For those ordering a rugged case alongside a BraX3 from Batch 2, we expect no delays - cases, as well as other accessories, will ship together with devices as planned.

3. Introducing open_slate — Our Next Project

We’re excited to share that we’ve announced our next project: open_slate — and it’s coming to Indiegogo.

We’ll be launching on March 3rd. Super early bird discounts will be available in limited quantities, so be sure to subscribe to get notified the moment we go live.

:backhand_index_pointing_right: Subscribe to be notified at launch

Thank you again for being part of this journey with us. Your trust and support mean everything to our team. We’ll be back with a further production update as we approach mid-March.

A while back there was a discussion about batteries and leaving them on the charger continuously. I (and others) mentioned this is a bad idea as it will kill the battery quickly with the continuous charge cycle (drops 1% … charge … drops 1% … charge etc). I mentioned getting a chargie device (or something similar) which plugs in between your phone and charger, monitors the charge and turns it off at a set level, then waits a while before it will charge again. All of this is user configured.

Well, the other day I noticed THERE IS a option inside the Brax3 for this directly. Under settings/battery/charge manager. There are options to set a particular time you can set so it only charges for a hour a day or such. Or charge limit it to say 85% so it stops there rather than at 100% which is the default. I do not know what the charge curve is (how long it waits before it starts charging again, usually it is 5-10% less of the set charge limit at least with a chargie) and that part does not seem to be adjustable.

Regardless, turning on charge limitation will make your battery last a LOT longer even if you are not having it plugged in all the time (setting it to 80-85% is best or 90% if you really need the extra capacity). I have been using a Chargie device for years and I am quite happy to find this option already available/built into the Brax3.

Edit: If you have the phone plugged in all the time, the charge limit should be 60% rather than 80%

Mine is set to end charging at 80% so I don’t charge it until I get low.

Rarely is that below 50. But one day it was 14.

Anyway, I just plug it in during the day and let it get up to 80 again. Then I don’t worry about it until the next day.

I love it.

So after waiting about a year for the covers to go with the PRIVACY Phone that also took a ridiculous amount of time to arrive , and a SDcard that got cancelled , You, a privacy company now choose a logistics company that wants my phone no. to harvest??? seriously WTF?, just send the cases , they’re not getting a phone number, I dont have 1 !!! it is not required !!!, If you want a phone number expand your BVP to other countries so we can have privacy no’s , Seriously they’re not getting a phone no. it is not required !!! link the email which was purposefully made for this purchase only and just send the cases !!! (yes I’ve had enough of this crap)

Annoyed even more !!

I would imagine that you would have some virtual phone, most services ask for a phone number nowadays.

This is the best we can do for now. If it’s not working for you, email support to get a refund on your phone case. We will try to improve this in the future, but it is as it is at the moment. Sorry about that.

Can someone tell me what screen protector I can buy to for the Brax3?

I’ve cracked mine because of this slippery little case. Dropped it less than two feet.

I need a couple replacements.

I can’t find any info on it.

It has been answered here, Spare protection sceen - #7 by yves_ch

5.99 ain’t bad either.

Preciadit!

Is there an expected ship date for rugged cases? I have been busy so I may have missed it on this chat. I was part of the Jan/Feb 2025 orders and customer service has taken my number for shipment but I still don’t have a tracking number yet. Just making sure I should still be waiting or if I got missed?

Send an email to [email protected] because it has probably been misplaced.

I did - a few times. They keep telling me it hasn’t shipped yet, but that it will… What date are they meant to ship out? I thought February?

People have been reporting receiving their cases lately, the logistics are terrible so you just wait.

Please give any information cause the official contact is very poor… waiting and waiting and waiting and …

Read the message to keep an eye on my inbox some time ago for additional cost due to the situation with tariffs and/or Iran. Never got an e-mail…

If you are waiting for the second batch they have many problems with the shipment. Wait for Plamen to show up.

The first batch was shipped in summer and you should have got it, in that case your order has been misplaced somewhere.

Hi community.

Here is a quick but exciting update today.

Assembly Underway

We’re happy to share that assembly has kicked off as planned. We’re on track to complete assembly and final QA on all units by March 30th.

Order Confirmation Emails - Coming This Week

If you’re waiting on a BraX3 from the new production batch, keep an eye on your inbox. We’ll be sending out order confirmation links shortly, where you’ll be able to review and update your shipping details, as well as take care of any pending taxes or shipping fees.

We’ll be rolling these out region by region, and expect to reach all backers by end of this week - early next week at the latest.

We’ll post another update once all confirmation links have gone out, so you know to check your inbox in case you missed it.

Final stretch - thank you for being with us every step of the way.

It’s the next week now. Last day of March. Anyone received their “confirmation links” yet? Still waiting.

Came here to ask the same question. Nothing received here, still waiting.

Got back a generic sounding email. Basically they “aim to start shipping early April.” I asked for a specific timeframe; I’m afraid I may have to give up on actually getting this phone and will have to rely on Pixels instead. Was hoping to contribute some to the UBPorts project.
