Use the Pixel until you get the phone. Ubuntu Touch is terrible in every aspect, you could start by packing ArchLinuxARM binaries with UBPorts native packaging system (Clickable). The low-level programming of Halium to support the hardware features is difficult and as always with open-source communities they don’t even bother to document their code so it’s extremely difficult to contribute.
I have been using the Pixel, after the last delay I got the whole family (minus one) Pixel phones. I now need one more iodeos phone, and it just looks like the Brax3 won’t be in the cards anymore.
I personally like UBPorts, though I do prefer FuriOS. The FuriPhone is stuck on an older UBPorts though, and I can’t flash iodeos on it. I do like the dual-boot feature, if I could somehow get that to work with Android (specifically iodeos) I would be set.
The dual boot on Brax goes through Lunar. iodé should be portable to Furiphone, again the documentation simply doesn’t exist though you can find many things on XDA for porting LineageOS.
I assume you are asking about the 2nd batch of Brax3? Well as Plamen said, one week or two (posted 8 days ago) before emails started going out. The batch is now in final assembly and QA testing. This delay was due to replacing a chip for faster charging and a better screen which added time to the final batch. And yes I agree get something else for now (which it appears you have) and move over when the Brax3 arrives. I really like it and think it is worth waiting for. Yes they aren’t the best at logistics but they have built a great product. And add all the craziness in the world (tariffs, ram chip situation etc) and that adds a lot of other curve balls especially for a small company which larger ones can insulate themselves more from such problems.
Looking forward to your next shipping update, promised emails, etc for 2nd batch BraX3. I am in the RoW cohort and am awaiting shipping notification.
Hi community,

So they’re in stock now? if I order now, will I get the phone right away?
“US, Canada & EU — Orders will be shipped domestically from our regional hubs. Taxes will be collected through the order confirmation step, and your order will be cleared before it reaches you — no customs hassle on your end.“ - this is also confusing, so customs are applied somewhere in the process? Your products are not made in the US? I just want to know the delivery time and final price for an order placed now in the US. Why is it so difficult to find this information? Indiegogo shows nothing more than “submit pledge“. So I’ll submit pledge for $339 and then in the next step I’ll get sales tax, shipping and tariff and end up with double the price or what? Why does it even have to go via indiegogo?
Mine charged $20 for shipping which was reasonable, but in the confirmation email I had to click a link and it wanted to charge $39, so I had to pay another $19 which doesn’t seem quite as reasonable. I went ahead and paid it so I can get the phone and do a proper review on the whole experience.
thanks for sharing the experience. are you based in the US? was the sales tax included in the $339 or added on top of it? Why are they talking about customs…
I really don’t like that the purchase goes through several stages and you don’t know how much will it be in total by the time you’re making the pledge ![]()
This is one of the main reasons the big tech keeps winning. They just make the process simple. And I understand the cost of it but why should it be difficult to find the most basic info such as the total price and delivery date?
Does this update include the rugged cases or just BraX3 phones?
I’ve been waiting for a rugged case from a partially fulfilled order. The original order was from Feb 2025. I got the phone in August - just waiting on a case.
We take care of customs. We clarify that those are shipped domestically to US and Canada region, since the first production batch had some regions where we didn’t ship domestically and customers had to take care of custom clearance.
For BraX3, we’re collecting the product fee and shipping fee via IndieGoGo.
For some regions where we need to collect tax, we need to add an extra step (through our own store). We’ve described this in our campaign page, as well as the FAQ section on our indiegogo page.
BraX3 had to go via platform like IndieGoGo since our merchant account got shut down by stripe on launch. We’re working on enabling pre-orders via our own store, but we don’t have an ETA yet.
That’s a fair point. We will try to improve this process. With our new campaign (open_slate tablet), we now collect all fees, including tax, prepaid duties, etc. via the platform in a single checkout flow when customers buy the product).
Nonetheless, prices may vary due to how crazy the word is getting. You can no longer pre-sale a product (a few months before delivery) and have any sort of stability - Covid, tariffs, RAM price hike, Oil price increase, Logistics path shut down. We live in crazy times, so we need to stay flexible.
Big tech (mobile) doesn’t really do pre-sales. They also don’t really innovate as well - just shove up the same core product with some 5% iteration every year. Hiking prices.
Might be best for you to wait until we stock up the product and start selling through more traditional channels (amazon, regular ecommerce), where you get it shipped next day, with no risk of getting a price bump. We’re not in this mode yet, as we’re not selling hundreds of thousands of units per month, and we’re not selling out to venture capitalists to fund our inventory (you’d be shocked to know they don’t love to invest in tech business that doesn’t consider user data as an asset on their books).
The last update is only about batch #2 of the BraX3, including accessories for those orders.
I will ask support to reach out to you with an update on your phone case, as it seems you didn’t get yours yet.
thank you for the detailed response. I appreciate it!
I’m also glad that you’re taking my post as a feedback, because we’re on the same mission and the mission is getting more important every day.
Fingers crossed that all goes well with the project!
My phone cases shipped from my mailing address and finally via freight to my undisclosed 3rd world location.
Very nice. I like the texture. The lines on the back are oriented in such a way to give it a grippy feel.
The little sliding door on the camera will have to break in some I guess. Its a little snug.
If someone can help with me either getting order #6440 delivered, or advise me on how to get a refund? It was paid for on 10-4-25! I’d very much appreciate the help?

Starting to ship orders later this week.
You give me reason to hope Mr. Plamen! Thank you! I need to at least try overcoming the Globalist attempts to tag, track & trace us! Again thanks!
Thanks for replying to my misplaced post! Appreciate your reply!
