Brax3 not supported on AT&T

@mful50 and @herrmit80 , THanks for your responses . I am planning on migrating to t-mobile until when cricket is available again. Then decide on whether to switch back. I am not ready to attempt IMEI changes on the phones.

I don’t have ATT, but I noticed this post in the Indiegogo discussion comments…

I figured it out  here’s how to get it working:

Swipe down from the top, select Internet and you’ll see AT&T 5G but auto-connect is off. toggle that to on and it connects to AT&T’s data network.

Credit to that poster. Does this work/help?

this is how I did it, too. AT&T is a bitch about ā€œsupported phonesā€ and will send a text about it. Also there will be a Visual Voicemail SMS sent out automatically to 1000000000 that looks super shady (it has username and password in it), but it’s benign.

And how were you able to do this when you (meaning I) cannot get a sim from them?

Tell them your sim for another phone was lost or broken, then call them back and say you found it and you need to set up the other line for a supported phone. A thought…

I am on AT&T as well. I have a Samsung phone with esim, when I went to my local AT&T to transfer my number the agent tried to activate my Brax3 using esim. It did not work, like yours, it did not recognise the Brax3 esim, so the agent installed a physical SIm card. It’s working no hitch so far.

That is very helpful of him. At least you don’t have to go through the effort of setting up a virtual machine through a hypervisor if you have not done this before. It can be tricky for initiates especially with different types of storage volumes.

Ah yes, At&T Mobility micromanaging ā€œtheirā€ networks again.

?!? Not sure what you are saying here

I made observations not under an NDA before I read this book. I suggest that you read Permanent Record by Edward Snowden. Investors would be surprised to learn that corporate buildings and structures were built not primarily for communications but for other reasons. Why can you have a federal office inside an MTSO? The land surrounding the MTSO is Posted and fenced with concertina wire. No government facility or access is within many miles, except inside an MTSO (MSC). Rob has said many times the main objective is for privacy at a modest level. Security? Forget about it! Security does not exist when governments or Big Tech is involved. ā€œCollect it allā€ is the motto since 1981.

I can confirm that Dark Star (ATT) works on US Mobile. I downloaded the eSIM. Although visual voice does not work. I have to call in manually. (I’m going to switch to their T-Mobile network, though, due to better coverage.)

So I used to work with someone who installed those black boxes… once you understand the complexities, well… it just is what it is…

Black boxes? That is a micro view. DPI is everywhere including ā€œprivateā€ networks. The monster is so large that it spies on itself. There is never security and a modicum of privacy. Ask ChatGPT ā€œWho is the Number One employer of mathematicians?ā€ A Math PhD always has a job with these people.

Yes ā€œā€¦it is what it isā€¦ā€ and it is exponentially worse for civilization. We are All now Zucked, Sgroogled and ready for the iPrisons. Who will stand up against it? It (illegal spying) is already illegal, but Big Tech just pays the fines and passes the cost back to us in higher prices. IMHO we need a Perp walk for government Privacy violations. The Terrorism Confinement Center (CECOT) in El Salvador is waiting for them.

Interestingly, I’m using US Mobile (Darkstar) on ATT towers and haven’t had any issue using the network. I have been having a separate technical issue that I’m not really sure is related to the ATT network, but it might be. Regardless, I’ve been able to call, text, and use internet on ATT towers like normal.

I just made a post about this before I read your reply. Thanks for mentioning this because I’ve been getting this exact text. Either frequently or every time (I can’t tell which) this text pops up, my phone reboots on its own and I have turn my hotspot back on.

I’m not sure who coined the term ā€œzuckedā€ but cudos to that person… lol

I first heard it from old Braxman posts. It fits the mood perfectly. Any time I hear of a SNAFU concerning any of these technology, bloatware, privacy, malware, spying, spyware, sneakiness, bovine excrement, road kill remains, gas pains, ā€œThe Turistasā€ ( Big D), evil anything, food born illnesses, a Porta Potty with no TP. This month we will ALL be Zucked on Halloween. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4vQbN5E8LFA
