Brax3 not supported on AT&T

From all I have read AT & T works with the phone. I hope it does, I placed and order last month.

Lost AT&T carrier (on MVNO) today. Connection simply disappeared and went to ā€œemergency calls onlyā€ between 3pm and 3:30pm EST USA. Brax3 was working fine for a couple months before it quit. Anyone else out there having trouble?

Users solve this by flashing an IMEI from a supported phone that you don’t use anymore or you don’t activate simultaneously with Brax3, since Brax3 has 2 IMEIs you can use the other one if you need to operate the phones simultaneously.

I probably read some old post initially, if you indeed lost AT&T support you’ll have to try the IMEI flashing.

I had the same on US Mobile’s Dark Star (AT&T). It was working then all the sudden it stopped. All the APN settings looked fine and matched the website’s recommended APN setting (as well as our forum discussion on the APN Setting), but it just would not access mobile data. In the end, I got it working again.

In the APN Settings on BraX3, I reset the APN to its original settings (3 dots top left) and created a new APN from the Carrier’s website. I don’t know why this worked, but it did. I checked the APN it was exactly as on the website before I reset it and up until recently that very APN worked fine. Anyway, it works now and is on 5G. Hope that helps your situation.

Yes this is some known behavior in 7.1, you have to push it in order to get the settings.

I have mine running LTE and it has been working good.

mine is lte, but suddenly stopped working. I do not know about the APN or how to set it.

I waited to purchase the phone UNTIL it was stated as approved and working with ATT. If you flash the IME, there are issues that come with that. If it doesn’t work with Verizon, nor ATT, it really is a limited phone. Maybe its refund time.

Go to

Settings > Network & internet > SIMs > APN

You can add, edit and delete APNs

The settings are on the carrier’s website.

Reboot the phone after you make changes and still doesn’t work.

You can also reset it

Settings > System > Reset options > Reset Mobile Network Settings

thank you george, doing it now…

OK, thank you now at least its works, however, i must point out that I never get/got 5g on phone and when setting the APN for 5g, and trying that APN defaults back to no service. When will that be fixed ? (As well as the slow wifi)

I do appreciate your help and hope the bugs go away

I do appreciate your help and patience. Doug

(I’m presently running LunarOS but believe it was the same under iodeos.) When I pull down the top bar & click on the internet option, it shows me ā€œAT&T 5Gā€ is active. I’m subscribed through Consumer Cellular, an MVNO for AT&T. So yes, it is possible to get 5G service from the AT&T network. I believe it is highly dependent on location, however.

My APN settings are as described at consumer cellular, but as George said, you should start with your carrier’s recommendation.

maybe YOU can, however, I can not. But if I drop the sim card back into pixel 6a, its 5G again. Maybe I can look at pixel to see settings, maybe. I dont remember it having same setup as brax 3. Good information though.

Yes, check the Pixel for the APN settings and if you see differences try to apply them to Brax3 to see if there is any difference. We know that Brax3 lacks some frequencies like the Citizen Radio Band 48 which some towers and carriers use.

So george,

when i have the sim in the Brax 3, then no access to APN etc. on Pixel, the the APN must be sim related, However, my wife Pixel should have where i can look up. Wont be till later in the day as she’s at work now. Good trouble shooting ….

It’s very complicated and we are trying to understand the problem, theoretically the modem can download and apply the settings but many things can go wrong during the process.

Knowing whether you have different settings on Pixel is valuable.

I have seen this post several times and have finally updated my browser to where I can input. I use Consumer Cellular and have since my Brax 2 days. It uses att towers. I have never had any issues using my phone with the att towers other then having to change my APN . It even shows att. You all on att might try checking the APN and adjusting it. It worked for me?

Thank you for this post. Have you tried Consumer Cellular with a Brax 3? My Brax 3 IMEI is not supported by ATT directly. Thanks for your reply.

I had problems on both AT&T and T-Mobile (MVNO). No amount of APN editing corrected the problems. I was able to make calls, but no data.

Deleting the APN and creating a completely NEW APN with the same settings from the carrier resolved the issue. I’ve had no problems since.

I am using SIM cards, so eSIMs might have defferent compatibility issues.
