Welcome to the forum - A search will find you several threads discussing this. There is a known bug with connecting to a small number of specific routers that is being worked on which is the primary cause of the issue, and hopefully there will be an update to resolves it for iodéOS (its a combined OS & hardware issue).
In the meantime you will need to look through these and check if you have the same situation, or the same router, or similar, that others who have had the issue (in which case it may not be fixable right now) - and/or try some of the suggested actions to see if it resolves it:
The official one:
With various combinations of wifi routers / APs not correctly authenticating using iodéOS, the below chart can help us better centrally track what makes / models / protocols are working correctly and what other devices are giving issues.
Newest beta to try: 2025-08-11
To install a beta build, the beta updater is required, which can be installed from here: beta/UpdaterBetaIode6v2.apk · master · ota / ota · GitLab
If you then refresh in the Updater app, you should see a 2025-08-11 build avail…
Also these - unfortunately many duplicate info, but hopefully you will find things to check or try and/or identify if your router is one of the ones that the phone and it won’t play nicely together…
Can’t access my home wifi with my new Brax! Any help?
It works out of town, but not at my home or clients,so strange! Edit: we’re at a hotel, so I don’t know the Wi-Fi protocols here at the hotel, nor my client’s.
I recieved two new Brax phones recently and tried to set them up. I am unable to connect to the wifi. I understand the wifi connection has been a problem for many people. I have tried restarting the router and the phone multiple times. I continue to get the message - " Could not connect to Wi-Fi network." I have a NETGEAR44 router. I don’t see that on the list in the BRAX Community page, but there are several other NETGEAR versions listed that have red dots so I’m assuming the NETGEAR rout…
I have ATT U-verse here at my house. I have two Brax3 phones, and they both recognize the wi-fi, but when the password is entered, neither of them will connect. It says to check the password and try again. I have several other devices connected, so I know the password.
Is there a certificate that I need to find and download? A setting that is not correct?
Thank you for any help from the community.
Steven
Router is ASUS RT-AX57
Dual Band Wi-Fi Router, Brax3 on 6.6 iode build, security is WPA3-Personal, Frequency 5 GHz. When I first turned on the phone, I connected to my WiFi, even though the phone stated that it was connected to my router, it can’t provide internet. So, I tested that and I was able to download the 6.6 update and install it. Then I went to the browser and did a search for brax.me and went to the site, all with only the WiFi connected. It seems like there’s a bug with the phone’s …
Thank you, these are the settings I have.
I have noticed that wi-fi calling works when there is both cell service and wi-fi service. However, when I use the phone with only internet (no cell connection available, but cell service is on), it doesn’t make calls.
I will keep studying this. The need for wi-fi calling for me is when cell service is not available, so I’m not finished yet, but progressing to understand the cause.
It increasingly sounds like a system (OS, etc.) issue as I can get wi…
