We’re seeing the same failure to update issue from 6.9 to 7.1 as is seen here. Unable to download iodeOS 7.1 upgrade
I installed this new Updateer-v6-to-v7.apk version and I am still getting the “downlaod failed.” error.
Now do the manual download and local update.
The updater is needed to jump form Android 15 to 16.
Yes, this did resolve it. Did I miss this. Is it necessary to do both? Do I need to update the updater app before I do the manual upgrade to 7.2 on my other devices?
Any device that upgrades from 6.x to 7.x needs this updater, now remove the transitional updater as it says in the instructions .
I dont see any transitional updater after installing this updater package. Is it called something else? It looks like it just replaced my updater app.
It’s in the end of the instructions, on the homescreen the updater icon is grouped with the gear for the settings, hold on the icon > App info > 3 dots > Uninstall updates.
