I just received my Brax 3 Replacement. EVERYTHING WORKS!!! 
iT’S CHANGED MY LIFE! i HOPE GINA can get her problem resolved. I have only 1 problem to solve. I tried to import my text messages (.json file) from simplemobile to the default msg app fossify on my replacement Brax3. When importing it says, invalid file format. Aren’t they compatible? Thank you.
In the source code it shows 3 types, application/json, application/xml, text/xml, try to convert it to XML.
george, I changed the ext. json to xml and tried importing the file “Messages_20260204_060814.json” to same but with the .xml extension and tried importing .
For a second shows, “Importing”, then displays, Invalid file format. Not sure if changing the extension was the correct way to convert it? Thanks for the assistance.
You have to convert it to XML with some tool or some office application, also try to convert it to json again because it may be of a different type than the regular one.

Thanks George, I’ll will look ….. in the meantime, my replacement brax3 is currently on IodeOS 6.3, I’d hate to update to 7.1 being life now with a working phone is a novelty. Should I Update to 7.1 ?
Now you can go to 7.2, you shouldn’t have any problem except for reconfiguring the APN.
Kind of, the delay is gone. Now I’m back to having random text messages not sending.
Are all the messages of the same type? Maybe large MMS are failing. Did you try QKSMS ? Are you on 7.2?
George, my IodeOS updater shows 7.1 is available, not 7.2. Do I wait for 7.2? go ahead with 7.1? Am I expected to delete the APN and re-enter manually like last time?
Maybe it will show 7.2 after you update, try 7.1 for now. If you don’t have mobile internet after the update delete and reenter the APN or delete it and reboot the phone.
They are plain text v7.1-20251221-brax3.
I did switch to Quik during the delay issue, switched back when that was resolved. I’ll try Quik again!
If they are more than 160 characters they have to be split but it could be failing to do it automatically.
If they contain Unicode, that is special characters and accented letters then every SMS has a much lower limit that 160 characters, maybe 30 or 50.
George, Appears iodeOS updater doesnt allow installation from this app. says, Update blocked. “Please read https://wiki.lineageos.org/devices/brax3/upgrade/ for more information.” so…… i click on the link. a page comes up, LineageOS Wiki, Page Not Found, Sorry, but the page you were trying to view does not exist. Try searching for it or looking at the URL to see if its correct. THIS IS MAKING ME NERVOUS! Another wild goose chase? Am I and Gina the only one’s having these troubles?

It needs the transitional updater and maybe manual update. First try the following, go to Settings > Apps > Preinstalled apps > iodé news and check if the updater has a down arrow to download the updater.
You can leave it as it is, there is no problem.
When going to settings, Apps> Preinstalled apps > iode news, down arrow, shows both news & Updater to the right of both appears an image looking like a trash can. what do I do with it?
Nothing , you have to do the previous procedure with the transitional updater. Leave it as it is until you need to update for some other reason.

This is the nature of those devices, either a modified stock device or a degoogled prebuilt one will always have some inadequacy or something to tweak manually.
They are short plain messages like “That’s terrible!”
