For those wanting a platform to follow specific creators across multiple platforms, have a look at Grayjay. If I follow for example, Rob Braxman, I can get a feed of his Youtube and Rumble channels, and I can save the videos, no more scrolling through endless video lists, just the creators I follow.

NewPipe on F droid is solid too if you want a back up. Multiple sources, soundcloud, peertube, i dont think rumble though.

All mentioned above are actually available for Brax3. If Aurora store says it’s not, that it’s a common bug with Aurora store

FYI regarding all of the available youtube. Front end apps as of today. They will no longer work. Youtube has fully rolled out the “must sign in” to watxh vids. Microg apps from aurora will not work. Niether will fdroid. I do have a vpn. I tried about 9 different countries. Switzerland was one in which the apps work and you can watch yt with no login.
I shoul add that the front end apps do not work. I am using duckduckgo browser and its embedded player allows yt to play w/no login through vpn.
Cancel that…DDG was working 10 minutes ago. Now get message that yt thinks its a bot and denies playing any vids.

Just downloaded AND updated the plug-in. Went to Robs channel and it played fine for several minutes. Seems ok.

I’m using a BytzVPN & it works fine on “Tubular” at this time. I also rebooted my phone before using

I found yesterday that “PipePipe” from f-droid is working with a vpn.

Just tried again a few minutes ago and like you it would not work. changed my vpn to a us server and it worked. for how long I dont know but for now I will just have to switch up vpn servers when I want to load content.

Just tried with EU and US VPN servers with BytzVPN . Grayjay requires the YouTube login… When the VPN is off , it works fine even though I am not logged into YouTube… What does it mean?

That’s interesting, I’m outside of US with no VPN and it works for me. Is YT detecting VPN use?

Been using GrayJay since I got my phone and all of a sudden today I cannot watch anything without logging in.
I tried using pipepipe but it tells me that my IP address has been blocked by Google.
What can I do other than logging in. I’ve been using a VPN the whole time. Will switching the servers help?

That happened to me once, I had reinforced iode blocking. Once I eased the blocking, restarted Grayjay it went back to normal.

It looks to me like it is. I’m in the EU and it works without VPN.

Just noting that NewPipe (from F-Droid) works flawlessly for YouTube (no login required or even possible :-), no ads, etc.

Are you using NewPipe with VPN?
If I am using my BraxVPN NewPipe does not work. Every YouTube alt app forces a login for me because YouTube sees the braxvpn and blocks the video viewer.

just installed newpipe and it worked without vpn and then installed Proton vpn and tried new pipe and successful viewing of youtube with no signin
