I updated apps using Aurora over direct internet connection with mobile data off (as done several times previously). I must have done something wrong because afterwards my phone is now emergency calls only with no phone or mobile data service. In Settings / Network & Internet / Sims my right network (UK-3), mobile number and mobile data are on but my phone number is shown as emergency calls only. In … Internet it shows 3 connected but with a ! To me everything is switched on correctly but I am not connecting to 3 in anyway. Can someone tell me what I am being stupid about?
There are a few possible causes for this.
For carrier issues, it’s always best to start by reaching out to your carrier, since they can access logs and determine the cause of the issue (whether it’s device related or on their end) instantly.
If you’d like to troubleshoot by yourself, there are a few things you can check
- Check if the APN is configured correctly based on your carrier documentation
- Check if the device original IMEI 1 and IMEI 2 are in tact (BraX3 authentic IMEIs start with 35000216)
I greatly appreciate your reply. It is morning here and I have just got up and checked my phone and it is working!?! After spending most of yesterday banging my head against a wall. I am now putting it down to a carrier hick-up.
p.s. Ha ha, I could not contact my carrier the phone was not working.
