No, it doesn’t work, and I recall that first time I reported it last year the first response was also that it works, and after support’s deeper tests they confirmed that it actually doesn’t work.
I’m sharing Internet from brax3 to laptops via USB tethering, and while it worked on 7.5, it doesn’t work after the 7.6 update. I have retested it on different laptops with different OSs. There are more users coming up with the same issue, in this and other thread, too, and as you have already noted, initially, it didn’t work.
Can you, or the devs, check again?
