I’ve been using my Brax3 phone solely for 1) calling/texting via PSTN and 2) as a mobile hotspot for a separate de-googled phone (for internet use) while traveling.
I’ve been having a strange reoccurring issue where the Brax3 phone will randomly reboot itself without warning; each time it does, a text pops up with the exact same message which seems to be some kind of coding that I can only somewhat figure out. Something with “len=”, “smtp_u=”, “smtp_pw=” and a bunch of numbers and letters. I do recognize my phone number and voicemail password within the text, which is why I’m not copy/pasting it in here.
Anyone else having this issue? The text sender number is always the same as well, ‘1000000000’, which within this context makes me think it’s some kind of interaction between the phone and cell towers. I’m not a tech guy so I don’t really know what’s going on with this, but it just seems like some kind of technical bug I’ve been having since I first got the phone. Updates haven’t seemed to remedy it.
I’m unsure if the phone has rebooted every time that text pops up but the hotspot had turned off every time I’ve seen that text, so I’m assuming it’s also rebooting and I’m just not noticing that it’s rebooting.
Update: Koldunya pointed out in another thread that this seems to be related to the ATT network. I’m still not sure why the phone reboots on its own though.
