Report: Roaming in the States

An update to:

2.6 months later I still have no Voice in the states 95% of the time. My workaround is to use Signal/Molly, Threema, and such but I should be able to normal voice call by now.

Interestingly, the last couple of weeks ATnT always takes the helm whether I have “select automatically” toggled on or off… Makes no difference. It’s the only one showing up and sticking. Every once in awhile I’ll see Verizon but it relinquishes itself within a minute or two.
I haven’t seen T-Mobile in at least three weeks while Roaming in the States… Again, Data works well all the time, but Voice hasn’t been happening at all since AT&T decided to pick up the roaming Brax3 consistently.

The Toggle “Automatically select network” has recently taken a turn for the worse in that it won’t even toggle off without actually selecting a Carrier in the “Choose network” dialogue. When it is toggled off, it will still automatically select if there is only one option available (for me, this has always been the case) or if nothing is available (rare) it will
show “Disconnected” - why not make “diconnected” an option in “Automatically select network”?

I’m on AT&T w/ Brax3 and no voice call issues.
If you are in US a lot, you may want to think about getting a dedicated SIM for when you’re down south. Set your Canada number to forward to US SIM number when here, and vice-versa.

I feel like that’s kind of enabling bad behaviour. So I’ll just stick to my workarounds

If I do find a real need to have Voice in the States sans the Voice over data I’d probably go with T-Mobile for sure
